News Release TD Friends of the Environment Foundation Sponsors Student Bursary for the Grey to Green Conference on Urban Agriculture and Resilience, June 1-2, 2015 th Early Bird Registration Deadline Extended to April 10 ! TORONTO, ON- April 9, 2015 – Green Roofs for Healthy Cities is pleased to announce the launch of the Grey to Green Student Bursary Program for Grey to Green: A Conference Exploring the Economics of Local and Regional Food Systems and Resilience on June 1-2, 2015 in Toronto. Grey to Green features the cutting edge of design and policy practice related to food production. It will showcase more than 50 leading thinkers and practitioners across a diverse range of fields which reveal many dimensions of architecture, agriculture and our food system. The multi-disciplinary program is packed with fantastic project case studies, useful designs, business models and analytical tools. Funding provided by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation allows up to 20 students to participate in this year’s conference free of charge. Students will have several opportunities to network with green infrastructure professionals on the trade show floor, as well as participate in the dedicated closing reception-networking event. Students will be able to discuss their research ideas with industry professionals, learn about the various organizations involved in green infrastructure and gain valuable insight about future careers in this exciting industry. Post-secondary students across North America are invited to apply for the bursary.
