Staffing As you are aware we are saying farewell to Mrs Jackson, Y1 Red Class Teacher, as she retires from teaching. We know you will join with us in wishing her a very happy and healthy retirement. We are also saying farewell to Mrs Pickering who is off to pastures new. We thank Mrs Pickering for her service to 100s of children in our school. Miss Copping is getting married during the Easter holidays and will return as Mrs Henderson. At the end of the summer term, Mrs Mayle will also be retiring. Governors are advertising for new posts and we will let you know who has been appointed in due course. Thursday 26th March 2015 Sponsored Read Our sponsored read for world book day was a tremendous success. The children had great fun dressing up as their favourite Disney character. We raised over £3000. We shall be purchasing books from Collins Publishers within the Big Cat Reading Scheme. Thank you to everyone who supported and contributed. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Sainsbury’s Easter Competition Uniform Sainsbury’s are running an Easter painting competition and entries are to be handed in directly to the store in Premier Parade. Pictures will be displayed in the store and there’s a prize for every entry! They also donated the Easter eggs for the prizes for the Easter bonnet parade. REMINDER:-‐ From September 2015, all children will wear a blue polo shirt and burgundy sweatshirt/cardigan etc… There will no longer be a black uniform for year 6.
