IMPORTANT DATES
Artists are invited to submit up to three (3) original works.
(Original means they may NOT have been done in any
class or workshop, nor under any instruction or supervision and they may NOT be copies of other work.)

Only professionally presented pieces, framed and ready
to hang with screw eyes and wire, will be accepted – NO
broken, damaged, or dirty frames, mats, or glass. No work
should exceed 42” outside frame dimensions.

ENTRY FEE
Non-Members:
$15 for one submission / $30 for two / $35 for three
Members:
$10 for one submission / $20 for two / $25 for three
All checks must be made payable to the Islip Arts Council.
Entry fees are not refundable.
If you wish to join the Islip Arts Council Registry,
membership is $35 per year and may be paid at time of
entry. Artist membership entitles you to a 10% discounted
entry fee (demonstrated above) for all juried art shows.
Membership is not mandatory to enter this show.
RECEIVING:
ENTRY SUBMISSION IS BY CD ONLY. All artists must
submit one (1) to three (3) images on CD.
• CD Entry for Jury
Write on the CD using permanent marker only: the
artist’s name and the show title “LOCAL COLOR 2015.”
Include this information on the CD: the images themselves
(the file format should be jpg at 300 dpi and 1500 pixels at
the longer dimension), image titles, medium, size of
framed piece, artist’s phone number and email. All works
must include a price or NFS, no POR.
Image files must be labeled in the following format:
LastName_FirstInitial_Title.jpg.
(Example: Smith_D_WalkInTheWoods.jpg) CDs will not be
returned and must be received (NOT postmarked) by April
1, 2015 or work will not be judged for selection. Artists will
be notified by e-mail or phone by the Islip Art Committee.
All decisions are final. Accepted work must conform to all

RECEPTION
Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 1 – 3 PM
PICK UP WORK
All work must be picked up after the reception on Sunday,
April 26, from 3 – 4 PM at Seatuck, South Bay Avenue,
Islip, NY 11751. Any work left with the Council beyond
this date will be charged a Warehousing Fee of $5.00
per day.
OTHER DETAILS
All work is juried for acceptance by the Art Committee
of the Islip Arts Council and all decisions are final.
No work may be removed prior to the end of the exhibition.
A 20% donation from sales will be shared by the Islip Arts
Council and the Seatuck Environmental Assoc. The IAC
and Seatuck Environmental Assoc. will take reasonable
care of submitted works but are not responsible for any
loss or damage to a submitted work. Submitting a work
of art implies agreement on the part of the artist with all
conditions set forth in this prospectus.
