May 2015 — Last Minute Details Below are several details for graduates and their guests about the Law School Hooding Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2015. WHERE: Milwaukee Theatre 500 W. Kilbourn Avenue (Website: www.milwaukeetheatre.com) WHEN: Saturday, May 16, 2015 GRADUATES MUST ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 6:15 P.M. AND GO DIRECTLY TO THE “KILBOURN ROOM” ON THE FIRST FLOOR. The event will take place from 6:45 to 8:30p.m. with a r eception to follow. The entir e event should end by 9:00 — 9:15p.m. Doors to the Milwaukee Theatre lobby will open by 5:10p.m. and doors to the theatre seating area will open by 6:10p.m. There are NO tickets and NO assigned seating for the ceremony. Seating is on a first-come, firstserved basis. Out of courtesy to your classmates, we trust that all graduates will bring the number of guests they reported on their RSVP form. PARKING: Parking can be tight, but you should be able to find parking at any of the downtown commercial lots listed below. You can search for other parking options at www.parkmilwaukee.com. We recommend that your driver drops you and your guests off at 500 W. Kilbourn Ave. or the northeast corner of N. 6th Street and W. Kilbourn Ave. and then parks in any of the lots in the vicinity. The following lots/garages are located within walking distance to the Milwaukee Theatre: Hyatt Parking Structure at N. 4th & Kilbourn Commerce Lot at 744 N. 4th Street 3rd & Wells Jo Lot at 725 N. 6th Street 4th & State MacArthur Square at 841 N. James Lovell Street 6th & State Wisconsin Center District Lot on Wells between 6th and 4th Streets OTHER DETAILS: Cap & Gown pick-up is on Tuesday, May 12 (10am-6pm), and Wednesday May, 13 (10am-4pm), in Alumni Memorial Union Rooms 157 and 163. The Kilbourn Room, where the faculty and graduates assemble before the ceremony, will NOT be secure during the ceremony. Please leave your purse, camera, and other valuables with your guests to hold during the ceremony. Honor cords (pro bono and academic) will be distr ibuted in the Kilbour n Room before the cer emony. Reminder: Attendance at the all-University Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 17, is mandatory for all graduates by University directive. Requests for permission to be excused from the all-University Commencement Ceremony must be submitted via email to Director Rogan-Mehta and approved by the Dean. You will need to arrive at the Bradley Center by 8:45 a.m. Law School diplomas will be distr ibuted immediately after the all-University Ceremony at the Bradley Center. At that time you will also return your cap, gown, and hood. On Sunday morning, we will let you know when and where to pick up your diplomas and return your academic apparel.
