Dear Graduates, We are so pleased that you will be joining us for the 2015 Graduation Ceremony on May 31st at Harborside Event Center. It is our pleasure and honor to publicly recognize your hard work and achievement. The following is important information you will need to make your graduation appropriate, stress-free and wonderfully memorable! 1. ATTENDING GRADUATION: The ceremony will begin promptly at 6 pm. You will need to report to the check-in table in the east entrance corridor at 5 pm. (Graduates may enter the building as early as 4:30 pm). You will then have time to put on your cap and gown and receive important instructions. All valuables (purses, cameras, etc.) should be left with family members. PLEASE NOTE: Harborside will close and lock the doors promptly at 6 pm while the graduates are formally entering the hall. The doors will NOT reopen until AFTER the processional, pledge of allegiance, and national anthem are completed! 2. PARKING: The parking is FREE around the Harborside Event Center building, the post office, and the Harborside parking lots. However, there is NO PARKING in the large boat ramp across the street. Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. 3. PROPER ATTIRE: When wearing a graduation gown, it is traditional to wear black dress shoes and professional business attire under the gown for the ceremony. Ladies should take into consideration the steps and long walk across the stage when choosing heel height. 4. SEATING: The seating arrangements for the ceremony is general seating. Guests may sit anywhere that is not roped off or reserved, and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. PLEASE NOTE: ONLY graduates will be permitted to sit in the section reserved for the graduates and allowed to walk across the stage!
