ST JOHN’S UNIVERSITY OF TANZANIA 5th GRADUATION CEREMONY St John’s University of Tanzania will hold its 5 th graduation ceremony for main campus (Mazengo Campus Dodoma). The ceremony will be held on Saturday 6th December, 2014 starting at 1:45 PM at the University sports ground The Chancellor of St John’s University, retired Archbishop Donald Mtetemela, will officiate at the ceremony at which candidates who successfully completed their programmes during the 2013/2014 academic year will have their degrees/diplomas/certificates conferred The Graduation Rehearsal will be held on Saturday 6th December 2014 from 9:00 AM at the University sports ground. PLEASE NOTE THAT - Only those who will have participated in the rehearsal will attend the conferring ceremony Graduands will have to meet their own travel, meals and accommodation expenses to attend the rehearsal and graduation ceremony The graduation ceremony will be preceded by a Convocation Meeting on Friday 5th December, 2014 starting at 10:00AM in the Council Chamber. All former Alliance/Mazengo High School and St John’s University of Tanzania graduates are cordially invited to attend. At the convocation meeting there will be a brief ceremony to formally welcome and install the new Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Professor Emmanuel Mbennah. A prize giving ceremony for students with outstanding academic performance during the year will follow immediately after the Convocation Meeting. Graduation gowns will be available on a hire basis from Monday 1st December, 2014 to Friday 5th December, 2014 at the Main Campus stores office. The gowns must be returned no later than seven days after the ceremony. Thereafter, a penalty of TZS 10,000 for each additional day will be imposed.
