MARKETING SUPPORT
The new $10 Double Dip is not the same as the old $13 Double
Dip.
•
It contains 2 x Lotto 6/49, 2 x BC/49 & 2 x Extra instead of
3 x Lotto 6/49, 3 BC/49 & 1 x Extra.
Advance Buy up to 26 consecutive draws will still apply for all
packages.
$20 Mega Pack – two separate tickets will be printed similar to the
current $10 Big Jackpot Pack .
The new packages will not be available for purchase on
PlayNow.com until Fall 2015 (TBC). Players may continue to
purchase the existing packages in the meantime.

Slips will be shipped on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 to arrive starting
Thursday, July 9, 2015.
As of Monday, July 13, 2015, players will no longer be able to purchase
packages using the old selection slips.

REGULAR PLAY SELECTION SLIP CHANGES INCLUDE:
The ability to select packages will not be available.
The package selection will be replaced with advertising messaging:
• Lotto 6/49: Raises awareness for the Guaranteed $1 Million
Prize
• LOTTO MAX: Promotes the three LOTTO MAX Packs and
directs players to ask the retailer for them.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
GOOD TO KNOW:

There are no changes to the Regular Play side of the current
Selection Slips. If need be, they can still be processed after
July 13, 2015.

Less than 1% of players use the Selection Slip to purchase
packages. Therefore, the fact that this ability is no longer
available should not cause too much frustration for your players.

Monday, July 13, 2015.

New Lotto Ticket Purchase Cut-off Time Change

WHAT’S CHANGING

Starting on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, BCLC is extending the ticket
purchase cut-off times for Lotto 6/49, BC/49, LOTTO MAX and Extra out
by 1.5 hours from 6:00pm to 7:30pm PST.

This extension will provide players additional convenience by providing
them more time until 7:30pm PST to purchase their lottery tickets on

1. HOW IS THE NEW $10 DOUBLE DIP PACK DIFFERENT THAN THE $13
DOUBLE DIP THAT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AT RETAIL?
1. WHY HAVE THE TICKET PURCHASE CUT-OFF TIMES BEEN EXTENDED?
The new $10 Double Dip Pack includes 2 Lotto 6/49, 2 BC/49 and 2 Extra
whereas the $13 Double Dip included 3 Lotto 6/49, 3 BC/49 and 1 Extra.
The $13 Double Dip package is no longer available at retail.
Ticket purchase cut-off times for Lotto 6/49, BC/49, LOTTO MAX and Extra
have been extended by an hour and a half to provide added convenience to our
players.

We are always looking for ways to improve our games and keep players
interested. These packages have been removed based off feedback we received
from players and retailers who wanted something different. The changes to the
Lotto packages will make the purchasing process easier for players.
3. WHEN IS THE LAST DAY TO PURCHASE CURRENT PACKAGES AT
RETAIL?
The last day for players to purchase current Lotto packages at retail will be
Sunday, July 12, 2015 and the new package options take effect at retail on
Monday, July 13, 2015.
4. CAN THE NEW PACKAGES BE PURCHASED ON PLAYNOW.COM?
The new packages will not be available on PlayNow.com until Fall 2015 (TBC).
Players may continue to purchase the existing packages on PlayNow.com in the
meantime.
Starting Wednesday, July 15, 2015, Lotto 6/49, BC/49, LOTTO MAX and Extra
ticket purchase cut-off times will be extended by an hour and a half to 7:30pm
PST.
The first game to be impacted by the ticket purchase cut-off time change is
Lotto 6/49, BC/49 and Extra on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. LOTTO MAX and
LOTTO MAX Extra’s draw will be impacted as of Friday, July 17, 2015.
3. HOW WILL THIS CHANGE THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNING
NUMBERS?
Because the ticket purchase cut-off time has been extended an hour and a half
across the country, the announcement of the winning numbers will also be
extended by the same time. This will affect when the winning numbers will be
posted on bclc.com and on Facebook.
4. ARE TICKET PURCHASE CUT-OFF TIME CHANGES EXCLUSIVE TO BC?
The ticket purchase cut-off times have been extended by an hour and a half
Canada wide.
5. WHAT IF PLAYERS BOUGHT ADVANCE DRAWS AT RETAIL ON A
PACKAGE THAT IS BEING REMOVED?
As long as the player bought the package & advance draws on it prior to July 13,
2015, they will continue to have that package until the number of advance draws
they bought is up. Then the player will have to choose from the new packages
that are available (the player won’t be able to re-purchase the package that no
longer exists).
6. WHY ARE THERE NEW REGULAR PLAY SELECTION SLIPS?
As of Monday July 13, 2015 new LOTTO MAX, Lotto 6/49 & BC/49 Regular Play
Selection Slips will be available. On these new slips, the package selection side
will no longer be available and will be replaced with an advertising message. If
players want to purchase packages, they will have to go directly to the Retailer.
The regular play side of the slips will remain as is and players can continue to
use this side to select their numbers for the draw.
