August 13 – 20 – Packet Pick Up for Transition Day – Monday – Friday: 8–11 am & 1–3 pm. Students with
signed notes from parents may pick up their packet and any siblings packet. Signatures will be required.

Lunch Reminder – No More IOU’s!
Beginning this week, Food Service will no longer be honoring IOU’s. Students should remember to
bring their lunch or have money on their account. Money left on your account will remain in your
account for next year.
8th Grade Celebration at Paradise Park is Friday, June 5 – Forms Due: Friday, May 29
As the 8th grade students wrap up their last weeks at Meads Mill, we are very excited to provide an
opportunity for the students to get together to celebrate the end of middle school as they begin to
focus on the new opportunities this fall. The celebration will be at Paradise Park in Novi on Friday,
June 5. Students will be bringing home more information this week. Forms and payment are due
back to school by Friday, May 29. The forms are also on the Meads webpage.
Science Olympiad Team News from Nationals
The Meads Mill Science Olympiad Team had a wonderful learning experience and impressive
achievement in the 2014-15 season. With more than half of new state-level members, the team
placed 9th in the nation at the 2015 National Tournament on May 18 at the University of Nebraska in
Lincoln, NE (http://scienceolympiad2015.com/). It is the 4th year in a row that the Meads Mill team placed 1st in the
Michigan State Championship and went on to represent Michigan by competing in the National tournament. Great
job, and congratulations to all of our Science Olympiad students!

SCHOOL STORE SPECTACULAR
We are having a SCHOOL STORE SPECTACULAR and we need your help! As a fund-raiser for our PBIS Program we are having a
SCHOOL STORE SPECTACULAR. Fun Services of MIchigan is bringing in some spectacular goods for us to sell as a school store.
The profits will benefit our PBIS program. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are in need of parents to run our SCHOOL STORE
SPECTACULAR. The school will be open during all three lunches (see details in sign up). We need a parent manager, one or two
people who will take inventory each day, as well as sales associates. Please sign up below.

NHS Summer Cheer Camp for Girls – Grades 5 – 8 – June 15 & 17
This summer the NHS Cheer Program is offering an outstanding opportunity for girls in grades 5 – 8 to
learn from the best at NHS. See the flyer on the Meads webpage for registration information. NHS
Cheer will be holding a pre-tryout information meeting regarding the 2015 Fall Cheer Tryouts
on May 28 at 7pm in room 176 at NHS. This meeting will be repeated on June 2 at 7pm in room 176 at NHS
for anyone that could not attend the previous date. Both athletes and parents should attend. Team expectations,
schedules, and the tryout process will be discussed. This meeting is open to students currently in grades 8-11. For

Northville Youth Football Camp
Does your son have an interest in the game of football? Will he be in 3rd – 8th grade next year? If so, see
the flyer on the Meads webpage for a football camp that is intended for students of all abilities – whether

Northville Girls Cross Country Meeting – Monday, June 1 – 7 pm – NHS Forum
There will be a meeting for anyone interested in joining the Northville Girls Cross Country Team on
Monday, June 1, at 7 pm in the NHS Forum. The meeting is intended for athletes and parents of those
interested in being part of the team in the fall. You can meet the coach and captains, learn about being a
member, the upcoming season schedule, summer conditioning workouts, and camp. The meeting should
last about an hour ~ Nancy Smith, Coach.
PTA Edukit School Supply Program Fundraiser
The Northville Council of PTAs is having its annual school supply kit fundraiser! Here is the link for online orders

available for pickup on August 21 during Meads Mill’s transition day. Kits ordered after June 8 will be mailed
