Meads Mill Mission Statement

August 13 – 20 – Packet Pick Up for Transition Day – Monday – Friday: 8–11 am & 1–3 pm.
Students with signed notes from parents may pick up their packet and any siblings packet.
Signatures will be required.

of the Northville Public Schools district.
M-STEP Continues – (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress)
The M-STEP began the week of April 13. There are three separate testing windows for grades
6 – 8. It is important that students arrive promptly on the scheduled dates of testing. We
encourage students to be well-rested for testing and eat a healthy breakfast before arriving to school on
the morning of the test. Please see the Meads webpage for the list of testing dates and information.
Important Immunization Information for Northville Public School Families
For students entering preschool programs, kindergarten, 7th grade and any students that
are new to the district – please read the attachment on the Meads webpage. As of January
2015, your child must have an updated immunization record OR an immunization
waiver from the county Health Department BEFORE the start of school. Your child will not be able to
start school if one of these documents is not on file in the school office. See the attachment for more
information!
Picking Your Student Up Early?
If so, remember to send them in to the office before 1st hour with a note showing the date,
release time, and reason. We will stamp it and return it to them to show their teachers.
This way, the office does not need to interrupt the class to excuse your student. Thank you
to those parents who consistently follow the procedure!
Northville Hockey Boosters
There will be a meeting for anyone interested in learning more about Northville Hockey
on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:00 in the Northville High School Forum. The meeting is intended for
players and parents for those interested in any of the four Northville Hockey Teams, Boys Varsity,
Boys Prep, Girls Varsity. By attending, you will have an opportunity to meet with the coaches who will be on
hand to share their philosophy / summer work-outs / camp announcements / plans for the upcoming season.
If you know of any player or family that may wish to attend this meeting, please feel free to pass this message
on to them. The meeting should last about an hour. Please make a note of the date, and we hope to see you

Attention 8th Grade Students – NHS Varsity Dance Company Audition Information
Auditions for the 2015-16 season will take place on Wednesday, May 6, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm
in the NHS Cafeteria. See the attached flyers on the Meads webpage. You can also find
more information about the NHS Varsity Dance Company on their website at
www.nhsvdc.com.
