Age Divisions
13-15 Years – Teen Miss Watermelon Queen
16-23 Years – Miss Watermelon Queen
Qualifications
* All Contestants must meet the age requirements by the day of the pageant.
* All contestants must hold a current Jefferson County address, or attend school in
Jefferson County, or work in Jefferson County.
* Each contest is required to pay a non-refundable entry fee.
* Contestant cannot have ever been married; cannot have any children, nor can
become pregnant during their year reign, or will forfeit their title.
* Under no circumstances will unsportsmanlike conduct be tolerated from contestants,
family or friends. This infraction will lead to immediate dismissal of the contestant,
family, or friends.
Guidelines
Mandatory Meetings
There will be two mandatory meetings that contestants are
required to attend. If a meeting is missed it will be noted and points
will be taken off the contestant’s final score sheet. The first meeting is
Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. The second meeting will be Saturday,
May 30 at 2 p.m. Both meetings will take place at the Chamber of
Commerce. Dress rehearsal will be Friday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the
Old Jefferson High School. Dress rehearsal is also a mandatory event.
Attire For Beauty
Floor Length Gown
Dress needs to be age appropriate
Teen Miss do not need plunging necklines, or high slits
Hair & Shoes
Hair should be worn as to what compliments and feels
comfortable to the contestant. Shoes should compliment the dress, not
distract from the dress or the contestant.

Sportswear (Teen) and Casual Wear (Miss)
Teen Miss – an outfit that represents a sport/event/hobby that you enjoy. A
speech will be given about yourself and should include statements about why you like
that sport/event. No swimsuits allowed.
Miss – Outfit of Choice - - should be an outfit the contestant would wear to a
concert, movie, or outing with friends. Jeans or similar casual looks. No shorts, business
attire or workout clothes. An on-stage question will be asked during casual wear.
Interview (Miss Only)
A business suit or dress that reflects your personality should be worn. Dress as if
this were an interview for a job. No flip-flops.
