Steak Marinade

Steak Marinade
Recipe courtesy of Steve Kuker
Ingredients
½ cup soy sauce (Kikkoman)
1 bunch of scallions
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 cloves of garlic, peeled
4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
4 tablespoons of honey
3 tablespoons fresh ginger root, peeled
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
½ cup canola oil
4 pounds of skirt steak, flank steak, or any steak you like
Add all ingredients except for the canola oil into a blender. Blend until smooth. Then add the oil
and blend until just incorporated. If you blend too long, it will start to thicken and you don’t want
it to emulsify. Place meat into a zip lock bag, pour marinade over meat, press out all of the excess
air, and seal tightly. Make sure all of the meat is covered in marinade. Refrigerate overnight.
Before grilling, let meat come up to a cool temperature, grill over high heat to your preference and
don’t forget the grill marks! You will LOVE this marinade on your steak, enjoy!
