Official Rules of Contest
To Participate One Must:
 Be 21 or older to enter
 Disclose all ingredients of recipe
 Bring ingredients to North Fork Horseradish Festival by 1:45pm E.S.T on April 19, 2015.
 Bring a presentation glass and garnish (drinkware for judges will be provided)
 Bring your own tools (ex: knives, bar spoons, and shaker tins, etc.)
 Use the Sponsored Vodka from LI Spirits that will be provided at the Festival (no other vodka permitted)
 Other alcohol can be used IN ADDITION to Sponsored Vodka
 Drinks do not need to contain alcohol. Virgin Mary’s are allowed!
 Make a minimum of One Pint (16 ounces) of Bloody Mary for judging
 Coolers are permitted; ice will be provided

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE CONTEST.
CONTESTANTS SHOULD ALSO BE NORTH FORK HORSERADISH FESTIVAL TICKET HOLDERS.
CONTEST PERIOD: The North Fork Horseradish Festival “Bloody Mary Contest” will take place at the North Fork Horseradish
Festival on April 19th, 2015. The contest will begin at 2:00pm and entrants will compete in groups of 3. Competitors will have 90
seconds to make their best Bloody Mary! The winner(s) will be announced at the conclusion of the event. All entry forms must be
received by 4:45pm E.S.T. on April 10th, 2014. ONLY THE FIRST 21 ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to individuals who are legal United States residents physically residing in one of the 50
United States/District of Columbia who are 21 years or older at the date of entry. Contest is subject to all applicable federal,
state, municipal and local laws and regulations. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by
these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all matters pertaining to The Contest
(“Eligible Entrant[s]”).
LIMIT: Limit one entry per person. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and event producer; and will not be
returned.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Contest, Entrant agrees to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s
and/or Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Contest. These Official Rules form a
binding legal agreement between the Eligible Entrant and the Sponsor with respect to the Contest. By submitting a recipe, the
Entrant warrants that his/her recipe is his/her original recipe and that s/he owns all rights to the recipe.
WINNER SELECTION: Bloody Mary must use the Sponsored Vodka from LI Spirits ONLY and must include horseradish. It shall
be prepared at the North Fork Horseradish Festival beginning at 2:00pm E.S.T. on Saturday April 19, 2015 in order to be judged.
There will be a panel of judges who will rate recipes from 1-5 in 5 categories: PRESENTATION, TEXTURE, USE OF
HORSERADISH, CREATIVITY and OVERALL TASTE. No tasting or sampling from anyone other than contestant and judges is
allowed at any time due to county health codes.
GENERAL: By entering this Contest, Entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, and agrees to the use of his/her
name and recipe submission in any form of publicity or marketing determined by the sponsor and event producer.
Entrants waive any right to claim ambiguity in these Official Rules.
DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or
connected with this contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and
exclusively by the state and federal courts located in New York; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to
actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3)
unless otherwise prohibited, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all
rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-ofpocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning
the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and
Sponsor in connection with the contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New
York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of State of New York or any other jurisdiction),
which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York.
