This year seems to be flying by –
can you believe we are in May
already.
Rumours are abound about class
restructures for Semester 2.
There will be no restructures this
year.
OUR SCHOOL’S A STAR
Our school has registered for this
DET project. We are showcasing
our Music programme in the
school. As a result of this we have
been invited to be involved in the
Channel 7 LIVE WEATHER
REPORT on June 24. Further
information on this will come out
shortly.
A DAY MADE BETTER
This is a programme run by
OfficeMax
to
acknowledge
exceptional teachers who make
the day better. Last year parents
nominated Mrs Thomas and Mrs
Zeiser. To vote for Mr Keady go

NAPLAN
Testing for year 3 and 5 students
in Literacy and Numeracy will be
taking place Tuesday to Friday of
next week.
FREE DRESS DAY - NEPAL
This Thursday 7 May the Student
Council are holding a Free Dress
Day and all money raised will go
to help families suffering from the
devastation in Nepal.
Please bring along a gold coin
donation and wear your favourite
sensible clothing.

in the report, your child’s
achievement is linked to grades.
Excellent (A) The student is
exceeding high expectations of
work at the year level.
High (B) The student shows high
achievement of what is expected
for this year level.
Satisfactory (C) The student is
working at the year level
expectation.
Limited (D) The student
demonstrates limited achievement
for that year level.
Very Low (E) The student
demonstrates very low
achievement of what is expected

KINDY
The Kindy classes have been
busy adding a splash of colour to
our school. Pop by and visit their
underwater mural.

P&C NEWS
MOTHER’S DAY STALL - On Wednesday students will have an opportunity
throughout the day to come and purchase a gift for mum from our Mother’s Day Stall.
Gifts will range between .50 and $5.00. Thank you to all parents and staff who have
donated items!
CLASS PARENT REPS – The P&C is introducing parent representatives in each
classroom. This person will act as a liaison between the school, the P&C and the

CANTEEN - A new winter menu is now available in the canteen. Spare menus can be
found in the old Admin.
UNIFORM SHOP - Please note there is a misprint on the Term 2 planner. The last
day the Uniform Shop will be open this term is on Friday June 12 th. The uniform shop
is open on assembly days only. To place an order outside of these opening times, an
order form can be found in the office.
