RIVERTON PRIMARY CAMPUS th 12 May 2015 http://rivertonprimary.wa.edu.au/ PHONE 9457 2644 A Message from the Principals Please note that the nationwide National Assessment Program in Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is being undertaken at the moment by the students in Years 3 and 5. The testing will cover reading, writing, spelling, punctuation & grammar and numeracy and will continue throughout the week. The results of the testing will be provided later in the year, both on an individual and whole school level. Last week the Year One and Two students went on an excursion to the Museum. All students had a wonderful time. As you can see by the photos below they investigated past and present scientific information. The first assembly for the Senior students will be on Friday this week, starting at 9.00am. I look forward to seeing a lot of parents and families at the event to celebrate with those students who have gained merit awards. This Friday some of the senior students will be representing the school in an Eagles/Fever Cup match against Oberthur Primary. The students will be playing netball, football, soccer and hockey. We wish them all the best and hope they try hard and have a wonderful time. If any member of our school community is interested in being part of a working party to improve our play areas in both the Kindy and Junior play areas, please leave your name at the front office. We hope that all the Mums had a wonderful Mother’s Day and spent lots of quality time with their children.
