Pallans Radio System Administrator Responsibilities • NPC ’s primary coverage requirement is NPC’s the power transmission lines and facilities in Clark County • Sierra Pacific ’s primary coverage Pacific’s requirement is the power transmission lines and facilities in northern Nevada • NDOT is mandated to provide radio coverage over all state roadways Mark D. Pallans Radio System Administrator Responsibilities • NDOT maintains about 6,000 miles of roadways • Much of it in rural Nevada • Nevada Power operates and maintains more than 31,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines, hundreds of substations and 6 generating stations ( 10,000 sq. miles) • Sierra Pacific operates and maintains more than 24,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines, hundreds of substations and 4 generating stations (83,000 Sq miles) Mark D.
