Sage Meadow Community
April 2015
Happy Spring to the Sage Meadow Community or at least I
think it’s supposed to be spring. The daffodils are struggling
to survive these night time lows. It is hard to believe that April
has arrived, but here it is and our Spring newsletter right along
with it.
First item I want to bring to your attention is regarding pine
needles, and yard clean up in general. Again this year there is
not going to be a free pick up of yard waste. Homeowners
will be responsible for getting rid of their own debris. Here is
a list of several companies that can assist you if you decide
not to burn.
Sisters Landscape 541-549-3001
Response To Nature 541-549-6427
Bear Mountain Fire 541-549-8616
A&J Brother Landscape 541-306-0761
I’m sure that there are others and if you would like to
recommend another company please send me the
information through our website and I will post it as well.
These folks will come and assess the amount of yard debris
and give you a quote for hauling away. They can also give you a quote for cleaning the yard and hauling away. If
you decide to burn please use caution and follow the outdoor burning regulations which can be found here;

There are numerous homeowners that will be paving their laneways this spring/summer. They are working with
Tri County Paving and have been told that if they coordinate all of the work in Sage Meadow they will get a more
reasonable rate as Tri County would only have to bring in their equipment once. If you are planning on getting
some paving done on your property, and would be interested in being part of this group please contact Frank
Dickenson @ 541-549-4836.
It has been an easy winter on the deer and as we all read in the Nugget, Sisters has forbidden feeding these wild
creatures. I think most of us feel like we feed them whether it is intentional or not with our shrubs, flowers and
bird feeders. However, intentional feeding of these critters is not a good thing, and in the end one ends up
hurting the very creatures you thought you were helping.

It is that time of year when we need residents to step forward and volunteer for a Board position. At our annual
meeting in July there are always 2 or 3 Board Members who have finished their 3 year term, and we need to fill
their spots. It is a great way to get to know your neighbors, and it doesn’t involve a lot of time - just a willingness
to be engaged in the community and keep Sage Meadow the beautiful place it is. Contact me through the
website if you would like more information, or you feel you can contribute to our neighborhood in this way.
There is a sense of renewal in the Spring. Let’s all do our part in keeping our community safe, and looking as
beautiful as we know it can. Any changes and/or improvements to ones property must go through the
Architectural Committee. It never hurts to pull out the CC&R’s and review them. If each individual homeowner
keeps their property in compliance, Sage Meadow will continue to be the neighborhood it has always been.
