QIBT is a higher education provider located on Griffith University campuses in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. The College has been offering pathway programs to domestic and international students for fifteen years across a broad range of disciplines. Eligible graduates progress to the University to complete undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Reporting to the College Director and Principal, the role is responsible for facilitating growth through the development and execution of strategy to strengthen QIBT’s reputation, relationships and domestic and international student market share. Responsibilities include managing key relationships with Griffith University, government agencies, sponsoring bodies and education agents onshore and offshore; development of marketing and sales strategic and operational planning to achieve long terms College objectives; identifying and responding to opportunities for growth; developing and controlling e-marketing tactical activities; executing conversion and retention strategies through a CRM as well as leading and managing the Marketing, Admissions, and Marketing Communications staff. Participation in marketing/recruitment activities on and offshore is also a key responsibility. The position is a member of the College executive team and actively contributes to the strategic direction and management of the College. Essential The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with extensive marketing, sales and management experience and relevant tertiary qualifications. A legal right to work in Australia is a requirement, as is proven ability to inspire and lead a diverse team, a track record in initiating and leading successful marketing strategies which have contributed to growth, and experience in the development and implementation of e-marketing and on-line activities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships are also key, as is experience in planning and budgeting to achieve successful, cost-effective outcomes. College Director and Principal Overview and Objectives of the Position: The Director, Marketing & Admissions is a member of the College executive team, responsible to the QIBT College Director and Principal for facilitating growth through the provision of effective leadership and management of all marketing, sales and admission activities across the College. Responsibilities include the development and execution of strategy to strengthen QIBT’s reputation, relationships and domestic and international student market share. The role has a strong focus on student recruitment and effective leadership of a small recruitment team across two campuses. Seeking to improve the QIBT / Griffith / Navitas competitive position through marketing and recruitment strategies aimed at business growth and development. 2. Development of strategic and operational marketing and recruitment strategies, and supporting plans and budgets to achieve long term College objectives. 3. Forecasting of annual targets for student recruitment (with corresponding quarterly reviews) and negotiating strategies to achieve targets with Navitas Source Country Offices in offshore markets. 4. Monitoring market demand to ensure products have relevance and identifying new opportunities that deliver a sustainable competitive advantage. 5. Developing and controlling marketing activities including overseeing the implementation of the digital marketing mix, delivering quality traffic to the website, driving social media strategies and managing an inhouse CRM & lead management automation tool. 6. Co-ordinating market research and associated analyses which inform the strategic direction of marketing activities and products. 7. Participating in marketing/sales activities on and offshore with responsibility for particular key markets. 8. Ongoing enhancement of relationships with Griffith University External Relations, Griffith International and Griffith English Language Institute, and the development of jointly coordinated marketing strategies across multiple markets to the benefit of both institutions. 9. Ongoing enhancement of relationships within the Navitas group, especially the University Programs Division and Group Marketing to influence the development of processes and systems that support College objectives. 10. Managing key relationships with government agencies, sponsoring bodies and education agents both on shore and off shore. 11. Leading, motivating and performance managing the marketing, admissions and marketing communications staff and ensuring their ongoing cross functional interaction, and professional development. 12. Clearly communicating objectives and interim and final results with primary and secondary College teams. 13. Providing leadership in the development of marketing collateral and selling aids for recruitment staff. 14. Overseeing the management of admissions, enquiry management, conversion and CRM functions for both international and domestic students. 15. Ensuring systems are in place which support compliance with the regulatory framework in which the teams operate. 16. Actively contributing to the QIBT executive team. 4. Qualifications and Selection Criteria Essential: 1. Tertiary level qualifications, preferably at postgraduate level, in commerce, business, marketing or related discipline, together with extensive sales and marketing managerial experience. 2. Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team located across two campuses, stimulate interest, influence thinking, and build strong relationships. 3. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills. 4. Demonstrated experience in the development and management of strategic / operational planning and budgets to achieve successful, cost-effective outcomes. 5. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to create value, develop and deliver executive ready compelling recommendations and strategies including high quality presentations and documents. 6. Significant recruitment and/or sales and marketing experience within the international and/or domestic higher education sector; with proven ability to initiate, innovate, lead and implement marketing strategies which contribute significantly to growth. 7. Proven ability to apply commercial rigour and business acumen to decision-making. 8. Solid experience in delivering e-marketing /on-line strategies in a B2C environment. 9. Strong track record in executing conversion and retention strategies through a CRM and lead management automation tool. 10.
