Global Sourcing? How to succeed!
Quality and productivity
are key factors for success in
sheet metal working. Innovative process monitoring
solutions ensure that you are
ready for the future.
The requirements for sheet metal
working companies have been
growing continuously in the past
years. Uncompromising quality,
competitive prices for international markets, detailed process documentation as well as just in time,
ship to stock or ship to line product deliveries require maximum
process control. BRANKAMP
systems provide companies with
active support for all this. At the
Blechexpo trade fair, booth 6302

Machine protection
in toolmaking
“We would have completely ruined
the tool without this BRANKAMP
monitoring. And that would have
easily cost us 15,000 to 20,000
EUR.”
“We were able to save about a third
of the costs due to detecting defects
which used to slip through before.”
“Where else can you still score
and save time? By ensuring that
the tool continues to run smoothly. We achieve that with BRANKAMP monitoring devices.”

SKF Sealing Solutions GmbH

KLEIN Umformtechnik GmbH

specific fields of application from
production practice – from setup
and reliable detection of double
sheets and stamping slugs to the
unique Superstop technology for
large presses from 500 t as well as
servo presses. The BRANKAMP
team also show the practical application of all new technologies at
renowned companies in their new
video.

Many different products, small batch
sizes and frequent tool changes increase the collision risk in toolmaking. A
machine crash often results in the
severe disruption of the entire value
chain, possibly bringing the whole
production to an immediate stop. This
is why more and more companies are
using the machine protection solutions from BRANKAMP in toolmaking as well. Learn everything about
the CMS technology at the Blechexpo
trade fair.

Better punching with
the BRANKAMP X5
The focus at the Blechexpo: the new possibilities of the
innovative ProcessMonitoring system.
The BRANKAMP X5 is a universal,
compact and easy to install ProcessMonitoring system. The system uses
innovative technology to provide high
precision recording and evaluation of
measured values. This is completed
by a tried and tested real time operating system offering optimum system
performance and maximum reliabili-
ty. The zoom function which allows
monitoring of even the smallest signals
provides best possible monitoring convenience even for complex compound
progressive tools. The system also features optimum tools for exact process
documentation. The BRANKAMP X5
is the successor of the proven PK 5XX
systems.

The new generation
of binary monitoring
Feed control, ejector monitoring or determination of
an exact part position: The
systems in the BRANKAMP
X series have revolutionized
tool safety devices.
The visualization on a modern
color display alone is a revolution. For example in feed control:
Where previously only a diode
indicated whether any feed was
taking place, the systems from the
X series can now map the process
exactly and provide a precise analysis of even the smallest deviations. Freely adjustable measuring
windows allow the user to monitor
all parameters which are essential
to the process. “Signal scatter is
no longer a problem as only the
defined measuring windows are
being monitored. This means
there are no false shutdowns,”
says Bernd Tepaß, sales manager
for stamping at BRANKAMP. The
BRANKAMP system directly evaluates the signals from the light
barrier for the monitoring process.
With just one sensor the process is
capable of monitoring start and end
interplay between feed movement
and tool stroke. This can prevent
The special issue
of the feed. The system immediately recognizes incorrectly placed
transmitters, incorrect belt positions or slipping. The system allows
the user to precisely adapt the
false strokes. Unnecessary safety
tolerances between feed movement
and stroke can be minimized. This
opens up new potentials for the
output.
The countdown to the new BRANKAMP video
The new BRANKAMP video shows the innovative
tool safety using the revolutionary visualized binary
monitoring technology. The video will be published
in time for the leading trade fair Blechexpo. Until
then, you can follow the countdown to publishing
here (only available in German).
