1ST -3RD Trophies/Medals - This competition is an NAS Level TWO event. The
top 2 placing’s in each Open Division Class will qualify for the NAS National
Championships.

By entering this contest I realize that a Strongman Contest of this nature is a dangerous sport
where serious injury and/or death may occur. In consideration of my entry, I hereby waive all
claims for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns against any/ all staff, officials,
sponsors or organizations however remotely connected with the NORTH AMERICAN
STRONGMAN Inc., Dione Wessels, AlaskaFit Productions, Alaska Fitness Expo, which may
occur while traveling to and from this contest and while participating in this contest. I further

EVENTS – All events subject to change without advanced notice
***Upon equipment failure or other unforeseen, Crucifix Hold will be substituted. Weights will start
with 10lb DB for women, 25lb DB for men***

Event 1 – Keg Press:
60 second time limit. Kegs must be picked up into press position and pressed from standing
position. Reps are counted from standing position. Kegs start at 100lbs, and go up in increments
of 50lbs up to 300lbs (total 4 per weight class, 3 for women/teen)
Full lockout (Lockout will be: Elbows locked, feet even, hips inline with shoulders and ankles,
knees locked) must be achieved for the rep to count and the athlete must wait for the referees
signal to lower the weight. This is a timed event, to press all 4 kegs overhead in less than a
minute.
Equipment Allowed:
- Belt, chalk, knee wraps or sleeves, wrist wraps, fore-arm sleeves
Weights used:
Men: Teen and LW 100-250, MW 100-250, HW 150-300, Women 50-200
Event 2 – Cooper Mini Deadlift
60 second time limit. Measured by Reps. One attempt.
Athlete will start with hands on the handles. Full lockout (Lockout will be: Elbows locked, feet
even, hips inline with shoulders and ankles, knees locked) must be achieved for the rep to count
and the athlete must wait for the referees signal to lower the weight.
Equipment Allowed:
Belt, chalk, knee wraps or sleeves, wrist wraps, fore-arm sleeves, lifting straps.
Weight: 2300 (Axel deadlift will be substituted for women, 300lbs)
Event 3 – Salmon Static Hold:
One attempt, salmon will be held at a 90’ angle by the tail. Time stops when competitor breaks
90’.
Equipment Allowed:
- Belt, chalk, knee wraps or sleeves, wrist wraps, fore-arm sleeves
Weight: 50lbs, women/teen 30lbs
Event 4 - Dogsled Relay
This is a timed event. Competitor will carry sandbags a distance of 20 yards, load them into a
dogsled then drag it back over the start line.
Men – Three 200lb implements, Women – Three 100lb implements
Equipment allowed:
- Chalk, belt, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves.
Weight: Approx 500lbs
Event 5 – Farmers Walk:
The time starts at "GO". Start with hands gripping the bars. Must carry 2 Farmers Walk tubes a
total of 60', the competitor will then pick up a stone and return it over the finish line. The time
and/or distance is recorded when one of the tubes touched the ground or when both tubes
completely cross the Finish line. Straps are not permitted. Competitor gets one attempt.

Men: Teen and LW 150lbs, MW 180lbs, HW 210lbs, Women 120lbs
