Meat Manager
Salary/Benefits: $13.00 Hourly, for 35 hours per week.

Duties: Take customers’ orders, prepare, heat and finish simple
food items, serve customers, use manual appliances to clean, peel,

* Plan for and implement the classroom curriculum in the Aboriginal Head Start
program based on Work Plan (yearly, monthly and daily plans)
* Develop and maintain the parent volunteer calendar and monthly newsletters.
* Record relevant data for reporting purposes.
* Promote and maintain communication with registered children
and their families.
* Maintain the classroom for child- directed play and learning.
* Comply with procedures for health and safety e.g disinfecting, cleaning

* Ride the bus as second person as per scheduled.

and tangible way. This exceptional individual will help families develop plans for creating
healthier ways of relating to each other, and equipping them in practical ways to move
away from the cycle of violence. The team lead will build strong working relationships with
community agencies to assist clients in their quest for services. The team lead advocates
on behalf of the client and the program using their strong interpersonal, and oral and written
communication skills. Demonstrated experience with group facilitation, presentation delivery
skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively in community would be an asset. The team
lead reports to a Steering Committee. This full-time opportunity requires flexible work hours.
Some evening work will be required.
Lac La Biche is a dynamic community set in the midst of a beautiful natural setting with a
provincial park, numerous lakes and parkland all in its backyard. This community is only two
hours northeast of Edmonton, and has a rich social fabric.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Social work or Human Services. Equivalencies may be considered.
Must be a team player with a strong understanding of the dynamics of non-profits,
community partnerships and working with committees. The ability to speak other languages
and familiarity with MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint would be an asset. The successful
candidate will require a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle as some travel is
required. A current Criminal Record Check and Children and Youth Services Intervention
Check are required. Preferences will be given to those with previous experience dealing
with family violence.
