We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement
Specialist to provide guidance and coaching for Devon Canada’s Continuous Improvement
Program. Located in our Bonnyville/Lloydminster District, this field office position will
report to the Continuous Improvement Leader with a 5 day on/2 day off rotation at Devon’s
Bonnyville and Lloydminster facilities. Periodic travel to Devon’s Jackfish facilities and
Calgary office is required.
The primary function of this role is to work with the Devon Continuous Improvement (CI)
team in providing guidance on the use of tools and methodologies along with facilitation
of the CI journey. The CI team continuously looks for new ways to improve processes and
foster ingenuity that will drive continuous improvement and maximize value.
The Continuous Improvement Specialist position is geared toward a change management
advocate; an individual who is eager to lead the Integrated Operations team and is keen
to help transform Devon Canada’s heavy oil performance. The successful candidate will be
experienced in leading large groups through change and will be an experienced facilitator,
comfortable presenting in group sessions. Ideally, this individual will bring 10+ years’
industry experience in a heavy oil environment to the role, along with a basic knowledge of
statistics and prior exposure to CI concepts and implementation plans. Previous experience
working and living in a field environment will be considered an asset.
