Kikino Metis settlement is recruiting for a consultation coordinator to act as the liaison to project
proponents and government for consultation purposes. This position will report io the Setttement
Administrator and be responsible to ensure that consultation is conducted ef{iciently, diligently
documented and complies with related regulatory requirements and Settlement protocol.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
including co-workers, government agencies and Project Prooonents
- Responsibte to establish and maintain cost-effective Consultation office, including software
management required to conduct consultation (Traditional Land use systems etc.) and tracking
of consultation costs.
- Perform all duties and responsibilites in accordance with policies and standards as directed
by the Settlement Administrator.
- Receive, screen, ana|yze and process Regulator referrals for Consultation and provide
recommendations to Settlement Administrator and other Settlement Authorities
- Work collaborativety with other settlement departments for capacity building opportunites related to
Consultation, such as environment or business development.
- Draft all applicable correspondence, prepare communlcations to members etc.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, staff, technicians involved with Traditional Land Use to identify,
document, communicate and mitigate economic or cultural imPacts
- Track and document all consultation activities with Government Regulatory Agencies
- Ensure confidentiality and due diligence of all consultation records and
records management sstems
- Identify and track community benefits stemming from projects
- Develop u,o provide Consultation orientation and training
- Provide assistance in developing agreements for use with Industry and resource development
companies
- Support settlement participation or actas representative in regional or governmental Consultation
reviews’ forums’ information sessions’ initiative etc.
