Lac La Biche and Area Family Violence Program
Program Team Lead
This position offers the successful candidate an
opportunity to help families in a very real and tangible
way. This exceptional individual will help families
develop plans for creating healthier ways of relating to
each other, and equipping them in practical ways to
move away from the cycle of violence. The team lead
will build strong working relationships with community
agencies to assist clients in their quest for services.
The team lead advocates on behalf of the client and the
program using their strong interpersonal, and oral and
written communication skills. Demonstrated experience
with group facilitation, presentation delivery skills and
a strong ability to work collaboratively in community
would be an asset. The team lead reports to a Steering
Committee. This full-time opportunity requires flexible
work hours. Some evening work will be required.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Social work or Human Services.
Equivalencies may be considered. Must be a team
player with a strong understanding of the dynamics of
non-profits, community partnerships and working with
committees. The ability to speak other languages and
familiarity with MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint would
be an asset. The successful candidate will require a
valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle as some
travel is required. A current Criminal Record Check
and Children and Youth Services Intervention Check
are required. Preferences will be given to those with
previous experience dealing with family violence.

The Opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Pipeline Maintenance
Foreman, the Operator, Pipeline Maintenance Services (PLM)
is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of tasks
related to the pipeline pigging and right of way maintenance
programs.
There will be 2 positions based at our Sturgeon Terminal near
Redwater, AB and 2 camp based positions in Conklin, AB. All
Operator positions will start as a 6 month contract position
with the possibility of conversions to permanent positions.
FOREMAN,
PIPELINE MAINTENANCE SERVICES (PLM)
The Opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Operations, this
position is responsible for the efficient and safe execution of
Pipeline Maintenance activities including pigging programs,
pipeline mechanical maintenance, ROW maintenance and
emergency response. This position must see safety as a top
priority while focusing on operating efficiencies, budgets,
worker competency, governmental and industry regulation
compliance while coordinating a diverse work team.
This is a full time permanent position based out of the
Sturgeon Terminal office near Redwater, AB.
