News from the Principal
“Dear Dads and Mums,
Caddies in Concert
- Wow!, Wow!, Wow!. What an absolutely amazing
night! The quality of the student performances really had to be seen to be believed!
Congratulations to well over 200 students who performed on the night. Thanks to all
our staff members who have given freely of their time and expertise in preparing our
performance groups. Thanks also to Miss Nicholls and all her helpers for the overall
organisation of our Caddies in Concert. We also acknowledge and thank Glenwood
High School for so willingly allowing us to use their wonderful auditorium and
assisting so graciously with personnel to operate sound and lighting.

Selective High 2016-
Notes were sent home this week to all Year 5 students
outlining the organization details re applying for Selective High School in 2016.
Please note that applications close 17th November and no late applications will be
accepted. Also, this year all applications are to be made online only. Full details are
available at www.schools.nsw.edu.au/shsplacement.
Notes and Money- Just a reminder that all notes and money are to be placed in
the collection boxes outside the school office.
– With last week’s Chronicle there were two surveys that we
would like you to complete for us. The first one is a school satisfaction survey and the
second one is asking your opinions on management here at Caddies Creek. Thank you
to those many families that have returned them. If you are yet to do so, please return
completed surveys to the collection boxes outside the office. Your opinions are
important to us as we evaluate what we do. Thank you

Thank you to all the boys and girls and their
families who supported the “Do it for Nathan” charity event last weekend. We trust
that the little sacrifice was not too difficult and gave some appreciation as to what
some children endure regularly. Thank you to those students who have already
collected and returned the promised sponsor monies. We are asking for all money to
be returned by next Friday 24th October. Thanks
Before & After School Care 2015 –JIGSAW OOSH is the company that is
providing OOSH services from the beginning of next year. Parents who are seeking
before & after and/or vacation care for 2015 are advised to contact

Kinder 2015-
Letters will be soon posted to families who have submitted
enrolment forms for Kinder in 2015 outlining arrangements for orientation. If you or

Stewart House Bags
–
Late last term Stewart House clothing bags for K – 6 students were sent home to families. Stewart
House does a magnificent job in supporting less privileged children and is our Public Schools main charity. Please fill
your bags with used clothing and return them to your child’s classroom. Please return all bags by Wednesday 22nd
October, 2014. (Bags are not accepted after this date). Please ensure that bags are tied securely and not overfilled.
Please help us support this very worthy cause.
Mathletics Awards
Students at Caddies Creek have the opportunity to strengthen their skills in Mathematics through the online "Mathletics"
program. The following three students will be receiving an award certificate at this week's assembly in recognition of
their hard work when mastering activities using the Mathletics website:




Junior Drama Group
The Junior Drama Group will be staging their final performance of the year! Parents, if you missed this amazing
performance at Caddies in Concert, you are welcome to attend the K-2 assembly on Friday the 24th of October to see it.

P & C News
We hope that all students, staff and parents had an enjoyable holiday. We would like to thank you for your support so far
this year and look forward to your continued support when we have our last fundraising activities for 2014. We have two
final fundraisers for the year taking place this term; the P & C Christmas Raffle and a second hand uniform pool. Please
watch the chronicle in the upcoming weeks for more details.
A reminder the next P & C monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday 29 th October 2014 at 7.30pm in the teacher’s
staff room. This will be our last meeting for the year before we hold our AGM in November. Everyone is welcome to
attend and we look forward to seeing you there.

attendance at school. This is usually applied for when students need to travel overseas during term time. Please note that
it is not possible for exemptions to be granted retrospectively. The appropriate forms are available from the office.
