Prayer Needs
Reading for Sunday 16th November
Please pray for …
*Maureen Lamb, Larry and Janie.
*For all those trying to cope with bereavement.
*Please continue to pray for Kate, Zeljko and
baby Adam. They planned to be here today to
say thank you to all those Sunnysiders who have
givens cards and gifts. Baby Adam’s passport
arrived early on Thursday so they flew, with
David & Isabel to Serbia yesterday. Kate and
Zeljko wanted to express their thanks for such
great support from Sunnyside church family and
are disappointed not to be here in person to do
that today.

General Information
*We are very short of dishwasher keys. If you have used
one recently, please can you check your pockets and
around your homes to see if you have got one by mistake.
*Please could you bake a loaf for our Advent Breakfast on
Sunday 30th November? There is a sign-up list on the welcome
desk in the lobby or speak to Gail Batchelder.
*We shall soon be asking our volunteer postmen to deliver
the Sunnyside Christmas cards around the parish. If you
feel unable to help us this year, please contact the office.
Otherwise, thank you to you all in advance for doing this
task for us once again this year.
Monday Lunch Club driving – are you able to help in the
New Year? It makes such a big difference to the lives of our
Lunch Club members, giving them one of the few
opportunities they have each week to get out of the house
to enjoy some much needed fellowship and friendship
together. We need at least 2 or 3 more regular drivers to
make the scheduling easier and provide adequate cover for
sickness/holidays etc. Perhaps you know of friends or
neighbours who might be prepared to join our driving rota?

Advent Gifts
This year we thought it would be good
to give donations at each service
throughout Advent to overseas and
local charities. As Christians, we feel
we must respond to the Ebola crisis.
We would also like to support people
nearer home for whom Christmas is a
difficult time of year. We are planning
to divide our offerings between the
Women’s Refuge in Hemel Hempstead
and the residents of The Swan.
There will be special collection
buckets for us to use each time.
