Please bring your favorite dish to share with our members. The Store Ladies will decorate the social hall for this occasion. Please wear your Christmas red and green colors, and those once-a-year holiday outfits that seem to last forever! Please phone the Shrine Club at (863) 382-2208 to leave a message of the number attending the social and the item you would like to bring. ****************************************** Nobles, the Board of Director’s meeting (open to ALL Shrine members) will be postponed until Monday, January 12 unless there is any important business to come before the Club before that time. ****************************************** WEDNESDAY MORNING COFFEE & DONUTS This is a great way to socialize with our members and friends at 8:30 – 10 a.m. This gathering is especially designed for our members who do not drive at night, but still want to be part of our organization. Lady Paula Kresge gets our coffee on and bakes our goodies each week; thanks, Paula. This is another one of our successful fund raisers. He will give us a history of the Club, and how much we have grown and accomplished over the years. This will be a fun opportunity to learn about our Club. Please note that President Dennis Koranda PP was the president of the Highlands Shrine Club when the 50 year anniversary was celebrated. How fortunate we are to have him still be involved in our Club ten years later! ***************************************** SATURDAY MORNING BREAKFAST Our faithful members are serving breakfast for you at 8 to 10 a.m. The menu is: pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee for a $5.00 charge. I wish to thank all the Nobles and our Ladies for all their support, and for all the countless hours donated that go into making our Club as great as it is. Our Social for December has been moved to Saturday, the 20th, and the board has agreed to a POT LUCK dinner. The last time we had one, there was very large turnout. We have many good cooks in our Club, so we know it will be a delicious event! Lady Jean and I will be on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean from December 18 to 27. Noble Mike Byers will in charge during my absent. Past President Noble Wes ward will be giving a presentation on the history of our Club on Saturday, November 22 nd, and again on Saturday, December 20th. Please try to attend at least one of his sessions, as he has worked very hard making this an interesting presentation. Maintenance on the building is ongoing: lights in the main building, the sign out front, and the AC in the coffee room are among our future projects. I have received many reports that our Thanksgiving meal was the best they have ever had in our Club. Many thanks go out to Lady Jean Gonzalez, Lady Phyllis Day, Lady Melissa Polly, and Lady Marilyn Wilkin.
