A HUGELY WORTHWHILE PROJECT
DE PAUL HOUSE, NORTHCOTE
We have undertaken, as a parish, to become more
involved with de Paul House...
To this end, our first project is the equipping of 3
new family apartments at their premises in Onewa
Rd, Northcote. We are going to assist setting up
kitchens and bathrooms using equipment (pots,
plates, linen etc) which is currently stored in the
de Paul house warehouse.
I now have dates for this operation: Mon. 8th,
Tues. 9th, Wed. 10th December (mornings).
If you, or anyone you know can shuffle the diary
and find a morning during those days for relatively
light work at de Paul House, please contact me and
we'll get you on the list.
Thank you, David Duignan, 021 148 0550.
CHRISTMAS MASS
SINGING

whichever Mass suits - please let Fr Philip
or Morna in the Parish Office know.
FIT FOR MISSION - THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL
Pope Francis: The best incentive for sharing the
Gospel comes from contemplating it with love,
lingering over its pages and reading it with the
heart. If we approach it in this way, its beauty
will amaze and constantly excite us.

LITURGY OF THE WORD
The prophet EZEKIEL 34:11...17
God will come in person..
to shepherd us ..
PSALM 23
The Lord is my shepherd, and I want to follow,
wherever he leads me, wherever he goes.
Over the mountains, the waters and by-ways,
valley and highways he’s waiting for me.
I want to go to meet him there,
to lay myself down in his love.
The Lord is my shepherd, and I want to follow,
wherever he leads me, wherever he goes.
And while on the journey to where we are going,
he promised to be there to help us along.
And over the mountains we’ll walk on together,
to know all the wonders he’s given to me.

Our Lord Jesus Christ - King of the Universe
23 NOVEMBER 2014
NORTH SHORE HOSPITAL MASS - First Sunday of month: 11.00am
We are brought through death ..
to life in Christ!
THEN THE KING WILL SAY ...
Only something very human is
mentioned, everyone can understand.
‘When you fed, clothed, welcomed, visited..
.. you did it to me.’
THE SHEEP OF MY FLOCK SAYS THE LORD
HEARING MY VOICE, THEY WILL LISTEN
THEY WILL FOLLOW ME, FOR I KNOW THEM
THEY ARE MINE—ALLELUIA...
com--passion
Jesus presents com
as the ultimate judgement of our lives
and our identification with him.
GOSPEL— MATTHEW 25:31-36
No difference between God’s chosen people
and other peoples.
Our final judgement—
judgement—rewarding the care
Nothing is said of various religious, cults.
we gave to the ‘least’
“MAY SONGS OF THE ANGELS WELCOME YOU
AND GUIDE YOU ALONG YOUR WAY.
MAY THE SMILES OF THE MARTYRS
GREET YOUR OWN
AS DARKNESS TURNS INTO DAY.
EVERY FEAR WILL BE UNDONE
AND DEATH WILL BE NO MORE,
AS SONGS OF THE ANGELS BRING YOU HOME
BEFORE THE FACE OF GOD.”
© ROBERT J. DUFFORD OCP 1985
It is what everyone can understand;
What have we done
for those who suffered in life?
Our life is on trial now.
It is now that we either
meet or turn away from Christ
in his ‘least’.
