So What Can I Sell at RI Kid’s Consignment Sale? CLOTHING: Important Note: The Spring Sale is for Spring/Summer Clothing Only, The Fall Sale is for Fall/Winter Clothing Only. Acceptable Sizes: newborn to juniors. Condition: All clothing must be excellent to like-new condition. Any clothing with stains, tears, or that is outdated, will not be accepted. Take the time to make sure your clothing looks and smells nice. Freshly launder the clothing, and touch up with an iron if needed. The nicer clothing looks, the quicker it will sell. Maternity clothing: All sizes. Again, no tears or stains, and nothing outdated. There is a limit of 10 maternity items per consignor. Please choose your best items. Note: Here are a few brands that sell well: Zutano, Mini Boden, Gymboree, J. Crew, GAP, Janie & Jack, Baby Lulu, Hannah Anderson, Ralph Lauren, Guess, Burberry, Tea Collection, Aeropostale, Lily Pulitzer, Columbia, Lucky, Juicy, Robeez, Pedipeds, Lelli Kelly, Children’s Place, Crazy 8, Matilda Jane, Naartjie, Justice, Abercromiekids, Stride Rite, etc. SHOES: Sizes: Newborn – Pre-Teen. Condition: Shoes must have little wear and look new. They should not have scuffs and stains. TOYS AND EQUIPMENT: Please check for recalls at: www.cpsc.gov We will not take any items that have been subject to a recall unless the repair has been made or pieces have been replaced and there is proof of this. This is for the safety of all children. BABY EQUIPMENT: Excersaucers, Bumbos, high chairs, walkers, strollers, playpens, bouncy seats, swings etc.   Equipment needs to be VERY CLEAN and fully functional. If batteries are required for normal operation, they must be included and fully functional. New batteries are recommended. You can find batteries very cheap at the dollar store. FURNITURE: Cribs, bassinets, bunk beds, twin beds, double or full-sized beds, dressers, armoires, student’s desks, glide rockers, changing tables, bookshelves, etc.    Furniture must be in excellent condition and very clean. Toddler beds, bassinets, and gliders can be brought to the sale. Cribs must not be subject to recall and meet all of the new crib safety guidelines that became effective in June 2011. Please consider selling as a set and not individual pieces. Sets sell easier. TOYS: Nearly all toys are accepted. Big Sellers will be outdoor toys such as Little Tikes, Step 2, etc. Bikes are accepted, as well as motorized ride on outdoor toys, wagons, bikes, kitchen sets, sporting goods, etc.    Stuffed animals MUST move OR make noise to be accepted. Toys must have ALL pieces and fresh batteries as required. All must be cleaned and in good, working order. NURSING & FEEDING: Nursing cover-ups, Nursing Tops, Boppy Pillows, Bottles with no nipples, Bottles with new nipples, NEW Feeding Supplies (sippy cups, etc.), snack trap cups. We do not accept food or formula DIAPERING: Cloth Diapers can be sold. They must be Clean, freshly laundered and have no stains. They must have good elastics, working snaps and clean Velcro. Diaper Bags are welcome. Must be clean and in great condition. No hospital freebies! BABY WEARING ITEMS: Backpacks, Slings, and Carriers. We love Ergo, Beco, Baby Hawk, Moby, and Kelty! BOOKS: Gently used children’s books and those related to childbirth, nursing, and parenting. ELECTRONICS: Child Friendly Media Only VHS, DVD, CD’s and Video Games      Only G or PG movies will be accepted. Only C, E, and T Video Game ratings will be accepted. Media must be in its original case and working properly to be accepted. No violent or mature media accepted. Gaming Systems are accepted. Items We can Not Accept           Clothing with stains, tears, or outdated. Car Seats. Due to concerns about safety and expiration dates, we have decided to not accept car seats. Stuffed animals that have no other “feature” Items missing our price tags. Shoes with wear and tear, ex. Scuffs, dirt Toys w/o batteries that need them to work. Adult items other than maternity.
