Conflict in your marriage?
Is your marriage cold or filled with stress?
Retrouvaille is a program for married couples that
feel bored, disillusioned, frustrated, or angry in
their marriage. Most don’t know how to change
the situation or even talk with their spouse. This
program has helped thousands of couples experiencing difficulties in their marriage. For confidential information or to apply for the next program
beginning with a weekend February 13–15, 2015,
call 800-470-2230 or 434-793-0242, e-mail us at
[email protected], or visit the web site at

Easter seems a long way off, but members of
the RCIA classes (both adults and children
beyond the age of infancy) have been preparing for reception into the Church at the
Easter Vigil. We are happy to get to know them
better by featuring a couple at a time in this
space!
Jazmin is in the ninth grade at Garner Magnet High School, where her favorite subject is
math, but she would rather be sleeping or eating
Mexican food. She likes to watch TV and hopes
to work in a hair salon when she is older. She also likes to dance,
William is in the tenth grade at Garner Magnet High School and likes to study math. He
plays basketball in his spare time and is looking
forward to a good job/career when he gets older.
In the meantime he likes to draw, play sports and
help people when he can.
The Catholic Men’s Conference in Raleigh
Featuring Dave Dinuzzo Sr., founder of truemanhood.com, is coming to St Thomas More Parish in
Chapel Hill, on Jan. 24. Dave DiNuzzo Sr, is a
Catholic husband, father of 4, author, blogger,
evangelist, and retreat master. Dave’s Ministry is
an attempt to spread the concept of authentic masculinity in the image of Jesus Christ – the TrueMan. TrueManhood works to teach virtue, while
fighting pornography and a term that Dave coined
– “cultural manliness.” Visit http://
www.catholicmenofthecarolinas.org/raleigh/ to
register online. Regular cost is $20. Knights, Seniors and student discounts are available.

IMITAR LA DECISIÓN DE MARÍA
La Iglesia de Santa Maria expresa
su gratitud a todas las personas y
familias que hicieron su donación
para las flores de La Virgen de
Guadalupe.

In the beginning was the word. The Word - Holy,
Sacred. Just. Eternal. God in Christ. Christ in God.
In the beginning. And suddenly the word was
flesh. Incarnate. Human. Breakable. Common.
Morning light into darkness. And that life-light
blazed out of the darkness and the darkness could
not put it out. His name, Jesus. This is the story of
the birth of Christ, and it brings to life those amazing moments when our Savior took on flesh to be
born in a manger. He is called the Prince of Peace
and his coming brought the fulfillment of scripture
to pass.
Faith Formation Announcements
Faith Formation classes will resume on January 25
and 26, 2015.
The Christmas season is here and the
Poinsettia is the flower of choice for most
everyone. The Altar Guild decorates the
altar for the Christmas season each year
with these beautiful flowers. We look to
the parish for donations for these flowers which
will adorn the altar and the church during this
wondrous time of year. In the pews, there are envelopes with a picture of a poinsettia. Please fill
out the envelope, enclose your donation, and
place it in the offertory plate at Mass. Thank you
for your generosity.
The Junior Music Ministry
will present their annual
Christmas Pageant on
Christmas Eve at 4:30 PM.
You'll get to meet St. Joseph, the Angel Gabriel and even talking animals!
The children (ages 3 through 7th grade) have
worked very hard to learn all their music, and this
pageant promises to be their best yet!
2015 Offering Envelopes
The 2015 boxed sets of offering envelopes are here! They are available for pick-up in
the church. This year, the boxes are arranged by
envelope number. If you’re not sure what your
envelope number is, please email [email protected] and we’ll reply with that
information, or stop by during parish office hours
and we’ll look up your number.
