Dear Friends of Holy Spirit, With the holidays of both Christmas and New Year, our bulletin company has requested our bulletin drafts very early. So I am writing this letter on December 23rd!! Happy New Year! As you know, Paula Slinger, our director for 28 years, is retiring this weekend, Epiphany. I want to thank Paula for her faithful work as our lead music person. She has an exceptional knowledge of church music and how to use music for worship. Her gentle spirit has allowed the program to grow with a sensitive pastoral touch, and I will miss her. Paula has helped me by reminding me of the liturgical celebrations that are coming up and what decisions I need to make! She will remain here at Holy Spirit as a parishioner with her husband, Deacon Mike, so we will continue to see her. Blessings on her! We are interviewing four candidates for Paula’s position, all this coming week. Pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in making this important decision for our parish. I am planning a Holy Land trip this year, April 20th to May 1st. There have been a few cancellations and we have four spots open.
