S.P.R.E.D.—Special Religious Education Ministry
Inclusion Mass Coming Soon!
January 11th, 2015
S.P.R.E.D. is a ministry that provides religious education and social opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Members from the Holy Spirit
S.P.R.E.D. ministry will be participating in our 10:30
Mass on Sunday, January 11th, 2015. Come join us
in celebrating Mass with this very special ministry
group.
Dear Friends of Holy Spirit,
With the holidays of both Christmas and New Year,
our bulletin company has requested our bulletin drafts
very early. So I am writing this letter on December 23rd!!
Happy New Year!
As you know, Paula Slinger, our director for 28 years,
is retiring this weekend, Epiphany. I want to thank Paula
for her faithful work as our lead music person. She has
an exceptional knowledge of church music and how to
use music for worship. Her gentle spirit has allowed the
program to grow with a sensitive pastoral touch, and I
will miss her. Paula has helped me by reminding me of
the liturgical celebrations that are coming up and what
decisions I need to make! She will remain here at Holy
Spirit as a parishioner with her husband, Deacon Mike,
so we will continue to see her. Blessings on her!
We are interviewing four candidates for Paula’s position, all this coming week. Pray for the guidance of the
Holy Spirit in making this important decision for our
parish.
I am planning a Holy Land trip this year, April 20th to
May 1st. There have been a few cancellations and we
have four spots open. If anyone is interested, please
contact through email, [email protected].

tras el anuncio de los ángeles, corre presurosa a encontrar al Nino en el pesebre, y se identifican con ellos;
tienen;
protección, alimento y seguridad al Niño;
todo su ser;
con ellos;

Reyes adoraron a Jesús,
un ángel les avisó que no
regresaran donde
Herodes y ellos
regresaron por otro
camino.
encontrar a Jesús.
y posteriormente a América.

“Ministers of Hospitality”
We need parishioners to “Greet” people as they enter our
church each weekend and make them feel Welcome in
God’s house and within the Holy Spirit Community.
We also need people to serve as Ushers at Mass. As an
usher, we help seat people, gather the monetary contributions, assist people during Communion, and hand out bulletins following Mass. As Ushers, we serve during a specific
Mass time (i.e., noon Mass or 7:30am Mass) for that whole
month but we only Usher every third month of the year.
Please prayerfully consider serving our parish community as
either a Greeter or as an Usher. If interested, please fill out
the form below and turn it into the collection basket or the
parish office.
Thank You!
