Cuando regresó el señor, Recompensó a los que duplicaron los talentos que habían recibido y los invitó a pasar al banquete, símbolo de la salvación. Castigó al que escondió el talento y no lo hizo fructificar: le quitó el talento y lo lanzó a las tinieblas símbolo de la condenación. Hemos de ser buenos administradores de los bienes que hemos recibido de Dios para alcanzar la salvación. Es la aplicación de la parábola de los talentos. Se trata de los bienes sobrenaturales que cada uno ha recibido de Dios. Tenemos que hacerlos producir. Esto es: hemos recibido el don de la vida sobrenatural de la gracia y tenemos que crecer en ella para dar la medida que Dios espera. Y Dios, cuando venga, nos ha de pedir cuentas. Nos recompensará si hemos hecho fructificar los dones que de Él hemos recibido. Entonces, seremos invitados al banquete del Reino, nos salvaremos.
