Office to register Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or
stop by the Parish Hall the first Sunday of each month following
the 8:45 am and 11:00 am Masses.
BAPTISM: We are pleased to help your family prepare for the
special event of your child’s entrance into our faith community.
To help parents and godparents prepare, a class (English) is held
the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Community
Center and in Spanish the 2nd Saturday of each month, at
9:00 am at Guadalupana. Parents and Godparents must attend
this class prior to scheduling baptism.
MARRIAGES: If you are planning to be married at Blessed
Trinity, your preparation process should begin at least four (4)
months prior to desired date. We look forward to helping you
during your time of engagement and preparation for the vocation
of Christian marriage. Call the Church Office for an appointment
with one of our priests.
SICK CALLS AND HOSPITAL VISITS: If you or a family
member are in a local hospital or homebound and would like to
receive Communion or Sacrament of the Sick, please call the
Church Office at 629.8092 or Sister Juliet at x3211. When
registering at the hospital, put your name on the Catholic List.

In today’s first reading, we hear Samuel respond eagerly, “Here I am!” each time the Lord
calls him. May we, too, be listening for the call of God in our lives and be ready to say
like the psalmist, “Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will.”

A popular hymn used in many Catholic churches is Here I am Lord. That hymn is
based in part on our first reading from the Book of Samuel. The Lord wants us to
respond just the way Samuel does in the reading. God calls each of us to
discipleship through lives of stewardship.
Just as Samuel was confused, we, too, may fail to understand what God is calling
us to at times. Nevertheless, just like Samuel we do need to respond “Here I am
Lord.” That is not always easy and it can be uncomfortable at times. Eli instructs
Samuel to respond “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.” Samuel does so and
“the Lord was with him.”
Our challenge is first to hear God’s call. It is there always, but we must listen for it.
Then we need to respond to that call, and we need to respond in ways that show
we recognize that the call is to service and the call is for us to be disciples. It is
only implied initially, but it is clear that the Lord is calling Samuel by name. In the
same way God calls each of us by name. We need to hear that as Samuel did, and we need to respond as Samuel
did, “Here I am Lord. I come to do your will.”

COMMISSIONING MASS
Active members of ALL MINISTRIES will be commissioned at
each Mass over the weekend of January 24th and 25th. It does
not matter which of the 6 English weekend Masses you come
to. As an active member of any ministry you will be blessed and
commissioned to go forth to accomplish your work. Please join
us in thanking these members for their commitment to
volunteer and serve on these committees and boards. We ask
that you pray for each of them and the success of their

OUR CATHOLIC APPEAL
This year’s Diocesan “Our Catholic Appeal” will be
presented by our Bishop John Noonan at all the Masses
on February 14th & 15th. Some of you will receive the
annual request in the mail because of having donated in
previous years.
Blessed Trinity Parish is serious about its mission and we
are happy and proud to accept our fair share of the cost
to operate our great Diocese of Orlando with its many
worthwhile ministries that cannot be fulfilled by
individual parishes – such as Vocations, Catholic
Charities, Administration, Bishops Office, Long Range
planning, Office of Schools, Leadership training, Special
Schools, Retreats, etc…
Our fair share of the total cost for running the Diocese
this year is: $148,461.00.
Over the last several years, because so many of you
strive to do your fair share as a parishioner, our parish
has been able to meet its assigned goal. What we get
over and above goes into:
1. The Diocesan Priests Benevolent fund.
2. Long range Endowment for our parish (ie The
Catholic Foundation)
3. To supplement the current parish budget.
We encourage all parishioners to participate. If you have
given in the past strive to increase your pledge. If you
are giving for the first time use 1% of your gross as a
guide. Thanks.

Sunday, January 18th: Join us for Mass, dinner & Life Night,
concluding at 8:00pm. One of the devil’s greatest tactics is to
convince the world that he doesn’t exist. A lot of people
don’t want to talk about the devil or evil, but there is a fight
that every single one of us is involved in. The fight going back
to our first parents…the fight between good & evil. Tonight
we are talking about spiritual warfare and how we draw our
strength in Christ.
Sunday, January 25th: Join us for Mass, dinner & Life Night,
concluding at 8:00pm. Many of us hear the Seventh
Commandment, “Thou shall not steal,” and automatically
think of robbery. Tonight we are going to broaden our
understanding that stealing is not limited to theft, but
encompasses a larger range of topics. Tonight’s challenge is
to take a closer look at our lives and break any habits of
stealing.
CHRIS TOMLIN CONCERT! Chris Tomlin, Tenth Avenue North
& Rend Collective will be in Gainesville on Tuesday, February
24th. Cost is $25 to include tickets and transportation. Sign

OCTOBER BABY
Immaculate Heart of Mary Pro-Life Group is proud to
present the movie, October Baby, on Sunday, January
25th at 12:00 p.m. in the IHM Parish Hall. The movie is
free and open to the public. Lunch (hot dogs, chips,

SEMINARIAN NEEDS CAR
Our seminarian, Zach Gray, needs a car. Do you
have a reliable 2nd hand car that you would be
willing to donate? You can take a tax deduction on
it! You will be helping our seminarian get back and
forth from the seminary in Miami and allowing him
to get involved in recommended extra ministries
outside the seminary. It is a good deal.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
Preparing for the sacrament of
marriage? February 7 is the date for
the next Blessed Trinity Pre Cana
marriage preparation program.
Registration begins at 8:00 in the BT
Community Center (Bldg F), and the
program runs from 8:30 – 5:00,
including Continental breakfast and
light lunch. Cost is $40 per couple.

STEWARDSHIP VERIFICATION MEETINGS
It is almost re-verification time again!
All Blessed Trinity Stewardship School families (BT & TCHS) will be
receiving an appointment letter very shortly.
Re-verification meeting dates will be Tuesday, February 10th ,
Thursday February 12th and Saturday, February 14th . If you
cannot make the time given to you, call, in advance, for another
time. All needed information will be in your letter. If you have
any questions after receiving your appointment letter, call

Our prayer service will include scripture readings, petitions,
music the Rosary with pro Life intentions and the recitation of
The Chalet of Divine Mercy Chaplet. We will pray for these
precious lives lost , through abortion and whose lives have
been effected by abortion. We will pray for an end to
abortion in our Country and our World.
WOMEN’S PREGNANCY CENTER
Women’s Pregnancy Center is seeking volunteers to
help women in unplanned pregnancies. There are
many different opportunities to serve in this ministry
that changes hearts and saves lives—maybe God is
calling YOU to join us. Our next Volunteer

CASEY JACKSON KWATKOSKY—EAGLE SCOUT
The parish congratulates Casey Jackson Kwatkosky who
was inducted into the high rank of Eagle Scout on January
10th at a special ceremony in Blessed Trinity Church.
Casey had a unique Eagle Scout project. Because of his
love of reading Casey supervised the reading of “100
books every child should read before kindergarten.” He
recorded his fellow scouts of Troop 172 as they read the
books. He edited the recordings and copied the audio
books onto discs. He labeled the discs and delivered them
to Angels in Arms. They are now being used by the pre-k
teachers.
We congratulate the Kwatkosky family, the leaders and
scouts of Troop 172 and all others who helped Casey
achieve this Eagle Scout award.
CHILDRENS OFFERINGS
It is time to encourage parents to encourage their
children to bring a gift for God each and every week
and bring it up to the Altar while adults are being
passed the collection basket. It does not have to be
money. It really should be their gift. At present it is
mostly pre-schoolers who come. But the plan was
for all youth—grade school up to and including 12th
grade—to come to the Altar. Encourage them. It is
a real life learning experience.

EIGHTH ANNUAL CHILI SUPPER
The Eighth Annual Chili Supper, a fundraiser
for the Sisters Retirement Home in Uganda,
with a focus on the fund-raising for a new
project: a water pump and piping system for
fresh water to the motherhouse.
The Chili Supper will be held on February 7, 2015 from 3:00pm to
8:00pm. This year’s feature will include the award-winning Chili,
served with and without meat, as well as White Chili, which is
made with chicken. Included in the supper will be a small salad,
saltine crackers, toppings, and a beverage of iced tea, lemonade
or water.
The Bake Sale will be found at the dessert table which will include
individual selections, such as cookies, brownies, breads, and
whole cakes for sale.
There will be a 50/50 Raffle held every hour, for the cost of $1.00
per ticket.
Come and enjoy a delicious meal. Share fellowship with your
family and friends, and support the sisters who serve our parish
and community.

FRANCIS DE SALES
St. Francis de Sales was a gentle and persuasive preacher who worked
tirelessly, first as priest and then as bishop, to re-evangelize the diocese of
Geneva, which had become a center of Calvinism during the Protestant
Reformation. He also collaborated with St. Jane Frances de Chantal (August
18) to establish the Sisters of the Visitation. The patron saint of journalists,
he wrote numerous pamphlets and countless letters as well as two
best-selling books, The Introduction to the Devout Life and A Treatise on
the Love of God, which are still widely read today. One of his favorite
themes was that all Christians are called to holiness -- each in his or her
own way: “I say that devotion must be practiced in different ways by the
nobleman and by the working man, by the servant and by the prince, by
the widow, by the unmarried girl, and by the married woman. But even this
distinction is not sufficient; for the practice of devotion must be adapted to
the strength, to the occupation, and to the duties of each one in
particular.” Does the meaning of this passage change if we substitute the
word “stewardship” for “devotion”?

Sixth Annual Blessed Trinity
Great Outdoors Raffle
WHO will win it this year? Would you like to experience
fishing like you have never seen it before? See an amazing
part of the world few have ever set eyes on? It is the
opportunity of a lifetime and all benefits go to Blessed
Trinity Church. You are one winning ticket away from trip
of a lifetime to Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge and the
wilds of Northern Manitoba!
The 2014 Raffle winner was parishioner Joyce Lemke. Joyce
gifted it to her nephew Luke who enjoyed an amazing
fishing trip.
This year, the raffle is a part of an outdoor extravaganza
with more great prizes! First prize is a 4 day trip for two in
July 2015 to Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge
(www.ganglers.com) including airfare and hotel overnight.
Value is over $10,000. The winner also has the option of
choosing a bear hunt for two (www.cansubarc.com),
licenses not included. Second place prize will be a half day
fishing or scalloping charter with renowned Homossassa
guide Jim Farrior, a value of $ 300. The third place winner
receives a $100 gift card to Gander Mountain.
Your support is important and appreciated. Tickets are 1
for $50, 5 for $200. The drawing is limited to only 500
tickets. Tickets are available at the Church office (352-6298092) or from Gangler’s (352-237-3474), personal checks,
cash, Visa and Mastercard are accepted or you can
purchase them on all weekends from now to February 15
outside the Church from the Ocala Outdoor Expo booth.
OCALA OUTDOOR EXPO,
BANQUET, AND RAFFLE
Where can you go and in one day, talk to an outfitter from
Canada, a guide from Wyoming, a PH from South Africa,
some of the top guides in Florida, TV celebrities, or just
browse through countless ‘toys’ like boats, ATVs, and other
goodies? Only at the Ocala Outdoor Expo. The Expo will be
featured at the SE Livestock Pavillion Feb. 14 and 15. A
special closed Banquet will be held Saturday evening from
5-10 with live auctions and other entertainment. You can
also get a ticket in the Ocala Outdoor Expo Raffle. The
Grand Prize is $10,000 CASH, second place is $3000 cash,
and third place is $2000 in SCRIPS credits. Tickets are 1 for
$5, 5 for $20 and are available in the Ocala Outdoor Expo
booth outside the church or from Brothers Keeper.
All proceeds from the Expo, Banquet, and Raffle benefit
Brothers Keeper.
PERPETUAL ADORATION NEEDS
Is your new year’s resolution to devote more time to prayer? Or
are you trying to figure out what you can do for Lent this year – it
starts on February 18th. Or perhaps you didn’t know, but as part
of the commitment to stewardship, each family is asked to offer
one hour a week in adoration. No matter your reason,
Jesus, in the Adoration Chapel, needs you! The following are
times that are in particular need – as there is only one person/one
family currently adoring at that time and the goal is to have two
people present if possible. Feel free to recruit an adoration
partner to share the responsibility of the hour – or perhaps your
ministry would like to “sponsor” an hour. We are flexible and we
need you. Please prayerfully consider this amazing opportunity –
it will become one of the best hours of your week.

TRICYCLES NEEDED
The Kids Zone at Brothers Keeper Outdoor
Expo needs to borrow 5 tricycles. You can
drop them off by February13th at Brothers
Keeper. We will use them at the Expo on
February 14 & 15 and you can pick them
back up at Brothers Keeper on February
