CAKE SALE – Thank you very much for all who donated so generously to the Cake Sale. A total of £82.10 was made for the Parish; BUT, MOST DISTRESSINGLY whilst Sylvia and John were busy selling the cakes, envelopes containing £30+ (collected for the Raffle) and £20+ (repository money) went missing! So very sad when everyone works so hard to raise funds for the Parish. SECURITY REVIEW. We are reviewing the security of our church and presbytery. Since installation of the CCTV, we regularly opened the church. There were 4 times we caught strangers helping themselves with small coins and the food at the porch. We may need to close the church again after services. CHURCH PARKING REVIEW. There has been complaints from parents after fetching school children at the front of the church. There were reports of health and safety issues of cars coming in and out of the small gate where it is difficult to see children coming from the rear. We may need to close the gates again when there are no church activities. GARAGE SALE-In St Patrick’s Hall 21st February 2015 1.00 pm-4.00 pm. Admission 20p. We are Christ’s missionary disciples, and He has given us many charisms and talents for this work. Now we want to set up in every Pastoral Area an Evangelisation Strategy Team, comprised of clergy and laity, to direct the work of mission at the local, parish level. How will this happen in our Pastoral Area? 1. In the next couple of weeks leaflets will be available for parishioners to increase awareness of this project. 2. Sometime in February, there will be a Holy Hour to pray for this initiative. 3. If you feel God may be calling you to join your Pastoral Area's team, please approach your Parish Priest or Co-ordinating Pastor. 4. During Lent, the Co-ordinating Pastor will meet with potential team members. The Strategy Team is a new body to replace the Pastoral Council. It should represent all ages and types. It’s all about vision! Its purpose is to sponsor mission-projects across the area. Teams will meet once a term.
