term, in addition to assisting with simple, realistic

MARYFIELD CONVENT – CATHOLIC RESIDENTIAL
CARE HOME
London Road, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 9LA. Maryfield is a
residential care home that provides care and comfort to
members of all religious denominations. Mass is celebrated
daily in the convent chapel and the sisters and staff provide
continuous quality care, twenty four hours a day, seven
days a week. We presently have vacancies. If you would

FLAME 2 - CATHOLIC YOUTH FESTIVAL
To be held at Wembley Arena on 7 th March. Tickets are still
available for Flame 2, which will be the largest Catholic
youth event ever held in the UK. Matt Redman will be
leading the music and a range of interesting people will be
speaking, including Cardinal Luis Tagle, recently by the side
of Pope Francis throughout his visit to the Philippines. The
event is open to young people and young adults, Year 10

CAFOD & UK AID MATCH FUNDING
Good news! The UK government has promised to match
every pound and penny you give to CAFOD’s Lenten
appeal (from 18 Feb – 17 May) up to the value of £3.5M.
Your donations can be used to help more of our sisters
and brothers deal with the devastating impact of extreme
weather such as storms, droughts and floods. Thank you
for your generous compassion for those living in poverty
and for fasting in solidarity with them on Lent Fast Day
(Friday 27 February 2015).

WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE 2015
Focus on The Bahamas: ‘Do you know what I have done to
you?’ 10.30am on Friday 6th March at Holy Trinity Church,

ALTON DAY OF RENEWAL – SATURDAY 28th FEB
Please join us for a mini-retreat day (or morning/Afternoon)
of spiritual refreshment and renewal at St. Lucy’s Convent,
Medstead Manor, Medstead, GU34 5LL. Our theme for the
year is Times of Refreshing. 11.00am Rosary; 11.30am
Mass followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament,
Shared lunch is at 1.00pm. Praise & Worship starts at
2.00pm, followed by the Talk. Our speaker will be Derek
Williams whose topic will be ‘A Time of Waiting’. There will
be an opportunity to receive prayer for healing. Tea is at

KSC ACTIVITIES
This month’s theme for our Spiritual Bouquet of Prayers is
‘When Did I See You Sick’ Farnborough Co are gathering
on Tues 24th Feb to pray the Rosary. Our winners in the
recent Nativity Painting Competition will receive their
rewards at St Bernadette’s School shortly and at St
Joseph’s for the runner-ups; we thank all children for their
splendid efforts. We are now looking for entries to our
Easter Painting Competition which is open to all children
aged 12 to 18 years; so please ask your Catholic senior
school for more details or your local church notice board.
PARISH VISITING
Do you know anyone who is housebound, sick or in hospital
or recovering from an illness who might like a visit from our
parish visiting team? Or would you appreciate a visit
yourself? If so, please leave your name, address and
telephone number with Father Chris and our parish visiting
group will be in touch.
OLD BLANKETS/DUVETS
Do you have any old blankets or duvets lying around at
home? Please consider donating them to Night Shelter for
the homeless, as they are urgently needed. Contact Bridget

PASSOVER SUPPER
On Wednesday 1st April 2015, (yes, the date is correct) the
Church of The Holy Trinity & Our Lady Fleet are holding a
Passover Supper (Seder) at 7.30pm at the Parish Hall in
Kings Road, Fleet GU51 3RA. This will be an interesting
and enjoyable evening. The Leader will be a member of the
Maidenhead Synagogue. Places for this Supper are limited
so please reserve your ticket - £10 per head – on a first
