HONORING THE SANCTUARY . . . Please be reminded to respect the sanctity of God’s house
by not bringing food or beverages, including water bottles, in the Sanctuary. Also, please do not
stick items in the bible/hymnal holder compartment of the pews & remember to take all of your
belongings with you. The only place food and beverages are to be consumed is in Fellowship
Hall. Let us all be good stewards and not risk ruining church property and wasting tithes made to
God on repairs that would not otherwise be necessary. Thanks to everyone for your cooperation.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
SYMPATHY TO . . . Our deepest sympathy is extended to Dr. John and Mrs. Myrtle Williams &
family in the transition of her mother and our member, Elizabeth “Doll” Jackson; to the family and
friends of our member, Eleanor Brock; and to Hilderbrand and Gloria Pelzer & family in the
transition of her nephew, Jimmy Dean French of Warner Robins, Georgia. Salem’s love and
prayers of sympathy are extended to all.
THANK YOU . . . Dear Pastor Marshall Paul Hughes Mitchell, Officers and Members of Salem
Baptist Church of Jenkintown: Thank you for your prayers, cards, visits and phone calls during my
recent surgery and recovery. Your expressions of kindness exemplifies the true meaning of our
Christian believes and expressions. I am proud to be a member of Salem Baptist Church of
Jenkintown and a child of God and to enjoy the friendship of our members. Yours in Christ, Oscar
P. Vance, Jr.
To my Salem Family: Thank you all for your prayers, visits, cards, phone calls and words of
encouragement during my recent illness. They were a blessing that helped immeasurably in my
healing process. I am truly humbled and grateful. – Deacon Darryl Gore
Dear Pastor Mitchell, Deacon and Deaconess Boards: God shows his love through the warmth and
kindness of special people like you. The Valentine supper was enjoyable and appreciated. Thank
you and God bless. Love, Constance Boelter
Dear Rev. Mitchell, Deaconess Board, Deacon Board and Salem Congregation: Thank you so very
much for the wonderful dinner delivered to me on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2015. I send
special thanks to Deaconess Esther Johnston. She knew I am over 80, and put my name on the list.
The meal was delicious, and all inclusive; from fruit to dessert. As you can probably surmise at my
age, I am not cooking as much as I used to; so this was a great treat. The nutritional pamphlet was
very informative. It was a special honor that the Deacons delivered the dinner. It is wonderful to
be remembered when you get older. May God continue to bless you for looking out for the seniors,
and for all of the good that you do. Love and God’s prayers, Mrs. Lillian L. Boggs
Dear Pastor Mitchell and Members of Salem Baptist Church: I wish to take a moment to thank you
for all of the love and support given to me since the beginning of my illness until today. I am
honored to be remembered and blessed to have a congregation praying on my behalf. Thank you
to Pastor Mitchell and Rev. Godboldte for your hospital visits. I am also thankful for the many
cards, fruit baskets and other expressions of love. I am still fighting and trusting God for my
healing. I believe in the power of prayer; so please keep those prayers coming! Sincerely, Diane
Matthews
