The 9th Annual Artists of Bolton Art Show
ABOUT THE SHOW: The Show will be held at Early New England Homes, 26 West Street (Rte 85),
Bolton. The show dates are Friday, May 15th, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, May 16th, 10 a.m. – 5
p.m. and Sunday, May 17th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The art show reception will be Friday at 6 p.m.
There will be refreshments and entertainment. The reception is open to the public. Family and friends are
invited. A Viewer’s Choice Award will be announced on Sunday. Paintings of Bolton will receive special
recognition. We will have a bin for unframed prints and originals and a display rack for cards. You may
bring as many as you want. Please enclose in packaging and mark with artist name and price.
DROP-OFF TIME is Thursday, May 14th from 3:00p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Early New England
Homes barn. Call Bonnie Massey at 860-646-0080 if you need help for the drop off or pick up.
PICK-UP TIME is from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17th. ALL ENTRIES MUST
REMAIN IN THE GALLERY UNTILTHIS TIME (unless sold). Again, call Bonnie if this is a problem.
Artworks must be checked out with the Show Committee (SC) before they are removed.
ELIGIBILITY The show is open to any Bolton resident 18 years and older. Items submitted must be
original artwork of the entrant and never before shown at this show. Prints, giclee prints and
photographs are not eligible. Also, no free standing sculpture. The show is limited to two dimensional art
works and must be ready to hang on the wall. No tooth hooks, please. The SC reserves the right to
reject any entry upon submission. Due to space constraints, we are able to accept only a limited amount of
paintings larger than 36”by 36” inches, including frame. Larger paintings will be accepted on a first come
basis. Paintings in the Small Paintings category are limited to a max. 100 sq. in. including frame and must
be priced at less than $100. Because of limited space, early entries are encouraged.
ENTRY FEE Large paintings are $5 per entry. Limit is 5 per artist. Small Paintings are $1 per entry
and limited to 5 per artist. That is a total of 10 paintings that can be entered. Please include fee with
application. Make checks payable to the Bolton Land Trust. After expenses, all entry fees go to the BLT.
The SC is asking artists to donate 10% of any sale proceeds to the BLT.
LIABILITY: We will take the utmost care of all artwork; however, the BLT, the SC, and Early New
England Homes are not responsible for theft or damage to any artwork no matter how it may occur.
Submission of artwork shall be understood to imply an agreement on the part of the submitter to these
conditions set forth.
