Welcome to A Night On the Red Carpet!
Tonight we welcome you to Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Annual Auction. This is our
school’s primary fundraiser! All of the monies raised from this event will go to the IHM
Home and School Association to help update technology, provide professional
development, necessary school purchases and student activities. This official auction
program is designed to give you as much information as possible before attending the
event. Please bring this book with you to the event. There will not be extra copies
printed. We encourage you to bid once, bid twice, bid high, and bid often! Tonight’s event
includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, soft drinks, beer, wine, and tons of fun.
Please note that your bid number is located on your name tag and can be used for most
purchases this evening (excluding mixed drink tickets and 50/50 raffle tickets). Your bid
number is also located on the back of this catalog to be used for the Live Auction portion
of tonight’s event.
Thank you to all of the people who make this auction a success! Through the generosity of
our school families, the parish community, and local community businesses, we are able to
offer an incredible array of items and services. Please support the businesses you see listed
throughout this program. Tell them you saw them listed as a donor as we do appreciate

6:45 p.m. - Silent Auction Begins / Winner of the Paparazzi 50/50 Raffle Announced!
The lucky winner of the 50/50 “Paparazzi Raffle” will be awarded cash!
Bid Board 1 will close at 7:15pm, and each board after will close every 15 minutes. Listen for the
countdown announcement made 5 minutes before each table is scheduled to close.

Silent Auction
How to Bid on Silent Auction Items:
You may bid on any item on any table at any time. Using a Sharpie marker, simply write your bid
number and item number on one side of the bid cards provided on the table. On the other side of the bid
card write the amount you would like to bid. Hand your bid card to the board attendant. They will place
your bid next to the item number on the board. Only the amount for each bid will be shown on the board.
If you see the item bid increase, then you can fill out another bid card and bid a higher amount. When the
bid board closes, the highest bid for each item will be left up on the board. You won the item if your bid
amount is the last highest bid made for that item. Once the bid board is closed, the winning bids will be
recorded and all items on the table will be removed. You can pick up your “won” items before you leave
the auction at our pick-up distribution center located in the deMazenod Room.
Bid Board 1 will close at 7:15 p.m., each additional board will close every 15 minutes. Pay attention to
the countdown announcement as you gather around the table to toss in your last minute bids! Move on to
the next board as it will be closing in 15 minutes. Check back later at the tables to see if you won. All
winning bids will be posted at each table throughout the evening. The Silent Auction portion is fastpaced, exciting, and super fun!
Live Auction
How to Bid on Live Auction Items:
Now that the Silent Auction tables are closed it is time to take a seat for the Live Auction! The auctioneer
will start by giving a description of the item up for bid and offer a starting dollar amount. To bid on an
item, raise your hand or book to get the auctioneers’ attention! From there the auctioneer will see if any
another guest would like to bid higher for the item. Once there are no more bids on an item the auctioneer
will declare the winning bid amount. An auction volunteer spotter will come over to you and record your
bid number and signature. If you decide to bid on an item with a group, plan out ahead of time your
budget and bidding strategy! Bidding together is cost effective and fun! When you win an item, please
inform the spotter the names and bid numbers of each additional member in your group. We will need this
information so we can invoice each person appropriately.

FAST TRACK CHECK OUT! Cash, check or credit cards are accepted. We also offer convenient
billing (excluding mixed drinks and 50/50 raffle tickets). For those that choose to be billed will
receive an invoice approximately 7 days following the auction for all of your “won” auction items!

PAY FOR IT LATER!
When you are ready to leave for the night, simply stop by our pick-up distribution center. We will have
all items organized on tables for you to pick up your “won” items! Quick & Easy!

Purchase tickets from our volunteers and then place as many as you want into the bin located in front of
the item you would like to win. You can split up your tickets and distribute amongst the many great
prizes. Tickets are $10 measured from your armpit to your fingertips or $20 measured from your nose to
