Guideline on How to connect to Eduroam wireless network
1. Click the icon with the bars and a yellow star on the task bar. The below image should pop up
with the option of connecting to available network(s). Click on the Eduroam option, uncheck
“connect automatically” and click Connect button
2. You will then be prompted to enter your username and password. Please enter your username
followed by @tut.ac.za (e.g. ‘[email protected]’ or ‘[email protected]’) and then click OK
button.

3. Click Connect button when the Windows Security Alert warning message is displayed.
4. You should now be connected to the wireless network

For computers not in TUT domain
a. Click the icon with two computer screens on the task bar as shown below and then click
“Open Network and sharing center”

Click “Manage wireless networks”

Click “Add”

Select “Manually create a network profile”

Enter information as per on a screen below, then click next

Note: wireless network name is case sensitive, please use lower case letters
Select “Change connection settings”

Click “Security” tab and then “Settings…” button

Uncheck “Validate server certificate” and then click “Configure…” button

Uncheck “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password” and click “OK” and “OK” again

You have now successfully added the Eduroam network to your PC

On available wireless networks, select “eduroam” network and click “Connect”
