Eduroam configuration for windows 8 devices (NON TUT devices): Click on the network icon at the bottom right of your screen, next to the clock: 2. Make sure that the option “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate” is unchecked. Also click on the configure button and make sure that you uncheck the option: “Automatically use my windows logon name and password (and domain if any)”: 5. Click on OK on all the windows. Click on the icon with bars and a star on the task bar as indicated with a red arrow on the picture 7. The below image should pop up with the option of connecting to available network(s). Select “eduroam” wireless network and uncheck “Connect automatically” option and click Connect button. May 2011 Page 5 of 6 Guideline on How to connect to eduroam wireless network 8. When prompted for username and password, first uncheck “Use my windows user account” and then enter your username followed by @tut.ac.za (e.g. ‘[email protected]’ or ‘[email protected]’) and password and click OK button. 9.
