We have successfully applied for a series of parents' maths workshops with a tutor to help you learn about fun ways to support your child in maths. DO NOT BE AFRAID...the sessions are fun and you will not be expected to be good at maths. Everyone learns together and there is no charge. The sessions will take place on 5 consecutive Thursday afternoons starting on 6th November and you should commit to attending all the sessions. There will be opportunities at each session to practise what you have learnt with your child. Sessions are from 1pm until 3pm. Only 12 spaces are available but we will keep a waiting list for future sessions. First come, first served. To book a space just contact the school office and put your name down. It's as simple as that! Read on! Get On! Read On, Get On, is a national campaign to get our children reading well by the age of 11. Just reading with your child ten minutes a day will make a huge difference to their reading ability. For some extra tips on how to support them visit :http://www.readongeton.org.uk We are also looking for parent helpers who can give up a small part of their week to come into school and hear readers. If you are interested in helping us with this, please inform the school office or Mrs McCann.
