CALL TO WORSHIP
In Christ, the fullness of time has come.
The Spirit and the Son are with us.
As beloved children of God we pray:
Shine in our lives, Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us worship God.
UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God our Savior, we confess
that we fail to live in your light.
You reveal your saving love,
but we hide your love from others.
You claim us as your children,
but we do not claim you as our God.
Forgive us, God of grace.
Let your will be done in our lives
so that we may live in peace according to your word;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

What Is Christmas?
What Is Christmas?
A home with gleaming windows
Of dancing candle light,
Glistening stars of silver
High o'er a blanket of shimmering white.
Crimson poinsettias 'mid holly and pine,
Shining balls on a tree,
Happy children's faces
Makes Christmas precious to me.
Candy canes of red and white,
Presents with satin bows,
A friendly chat with a loved one
By an amber log that glows.
A Bible on the mantle
Bright eyes of a girl and a boy
As they hear the Christmas story
Singing Christmas joys.
A tiny Babe in a manger
God's gift from heaven above,
The very reason for Christmas
Perfected through His love.
~ Ruth H. Underhill ~
Welcome!
I am ready to welcome the new!
Today I honor what has been and welcome what is to come. I give thanks
for the year that is ending, for all my experiences, and the growth of my
soul. I am ready to say goodbye to past events, the challenges that
strengthen my faith, and the blissful moments that made me whole. I create
a personal ceremony for letting go. I imagine myself as a sacred vessel from
which I pour out the past. With each gentle breath, I release everything to
God. Reverently, I let go. I feel lighter in mind, body, and soul. I rest in
the holy emptiness, trusting Spirit to fill it with Divine Love. On the
threshold of a new beginning, I am ready to welcome new growth. I am
cleansed, refreshed, and optimistic. I am grateful and open to God’s good.
I am about to create new heavens…a new earth; the former things shall not
be remembered. - Isaiah 65:17
