Dear St, Eugene Members & Students.
Here are some points that will inspire ways on the ways of conversion during this journey of the Third week of Lent.
 We have to be thirsty for the Lord;
 We have to look for him in different ways as He is finding ways to approach to us;
 As we are being reminded of the importance to be immerged in the waters of Baptism, let us recall in the importance our own baptism. Do we know the date of our baptism and confirmation? Do we recall the church where we received the sacraments of Christian
Initiation?
 During this time of Lent we have a good opportunity to approach the Lord, to tell others about the presence of Jesus in our lives, and
to truly profess our faith in the Lord who calls us to conversion;
 In the same way that our catechumens and candidates are on their way to conversion, let us join them on their journey to be close to
the Lord.
May God bless us in our journey of conversion.

This year two great family focused events will be happening in the life of the Church. In September Pope Francis will be visiting the
USA, and he will be present at the World Congress of families that will be held in Philadelphia. In October the Synod of the families will
be celebrated in Rome. In light of the Synod, the Vatican sends out surveys to every diocese around the World. Here in our Diocese of
Pensacola – Tallahassee, the survey is on the diocesan web site. Please click on link below and answer the questions from the survey. All

International Day of the Woman
Dear Community
Let us join in prayer and thanksgiving for the women present at St. Eugene Catholic Chapel. They are mothers, grandmothers, professionals, and leaders of our community. Their presence among us is the concrete sign of the Love of God to humanity. He sent His only begotten son, born of a woman, who certainly learned his first words and lessons in life from our Blessed Mother.
May God bless each woman in our community and in the world, giving them the strength to be a light in the world.
March 08 - Anniversary of the perpetual vows as a Divine Word Missionary and diaconate.
My dear friends,
Today I celebrate 7 years of perpetual vows as a member of the Divine Word Missionaries, a religious missionary community that is present in more than 70 countries. On this day, in 2008, I was also ordained as a deacon with my classmates, Fr, Ademar (Brazil), Fr. Cristovao (Colombia), Fr. Antonio (Mexico), and Fr. Claudio (who decided after a good discernment to stay in Brazil and serve the Church as a
diocesan priest). On this occasion I pray for the Bishop who ordained us as deacons, Archbishop Silvestre Luiz Scandian, svd, and the
provincial who welcomed us in the community as members in perpetual vows: Fr. Michael McGuiness, svd.

The Lord has been so good to us.
My dear friends rejoice with me for the gift of life that God gives constantly to us. My family in Brazil received 2 blessings. In the month
of January Ester, my first niece, was born. Also, in the last week (days before my birthday) my second niece Estela was also born. Let us
thank the Lord God for his wondrous deeds among us.
Revival
The St. Eugene Church Revival will be led by Fr. Lambert Lein, svd. The “kick off” mass will be on March 22 at 11:15 a.m.. Revival
masses will occur from March 23 to March 25, 2015 at 7 pm. Fr. Lambert will help us to be in path of God. The theme of our revival
is: Stewardship: Talents, Gifts and Treasures.

Estimados miembros de la comunidad Católica de San Eugenio & Estudiantes.
He aquí algunos puntos que inspirarán maneras en los caminos de conversión durante la tercera semana de Cuaresma.
- Tenemos que tener sed del Señor;
- Tenemos que buscarlo en las diferentes formas cuando Él está encontrando maneras de acercarse a nosotros;
- Como estamos recordando en la importancia de ser sumergido en las aguas del bautismo, recordemos la importancia de nuestro propio bautismo. ¿Sabemos la fecha de nuestro bautismo y de la confirmación? ¿Nos recordamos la iglesia donde recibimos los sacramentos de la iniciación cristiana?
- Durante este tiempo de Cuaresma, tenemos una buena oportunidad de acercarse a nosotros mismos al Señor y decir a los demás la presencia de Jesús en nuestras vidas, y verdaderamente profesar nuestra fe en el Señor, que nos llama a la conversión;
- De la misma manera que nuestros catecúmenos y los candidatos están en su camino en la conversión durante este tiempo de
Cuaresma, vamos a unirnos a ellos en su viaje para estar cerca del Señor.
Que Dios nos bendiga en nuestro camino de conversión.

En este año de 2015 dos grandes eventos van a ocurrir en la vida de la Iglesia y de sus miembros en materia de familia. En septiembre el
Papa Francisco vendrá a los EE.UU., y estará presente en el Congreso Mundial de las Familias, que se celebrará en Filadelfia, y en octubre el Sínodo de la Familia que se celebrara en Roma. Así, para el caso del Sínodo, el Vaticano envió a todas las diócesis de todo el mundo una encuesta para ser llenado por cada católico. Aquí, en nuestra Diócesis de Pensacola - Tallahassee, nosotros también somos invitados a llenar esta encuesta. Día Internacional de la Mujer
Querida comunidad Unámonos en oración y acción de gracias por las mujeres presentes en nuestra comunidad católica de San Eugenio.
Ellas son madres, abuelas, profesionales, líderes de nuestra comunidad. Su presencia entre nosotros es el signo concreto del Amor de Dios
a la humanidad, que envió a su único hijo nacido de una mujer y que sin duda aprendió de nuestra Santísima Madre las primeras palabras,
y aprendió con ella los primeros pasos en la vida. Que Dios bendiga a cada mujer de nuestra comunidad y del mundo, dándoles la fuerza
para ser una luz en el mundo.
Aniversario de los votos perpetuos como Misionero del Verbo Divino y el diaconado.
Mis queridos amigos en este día de 08 de marzo celebro 7 años de votos perpetuos como miembro de los Misioneros del Verbo Divino,
una comunidad religiosa misionera que está presente en más de 70 países y también en este mismo día que en 2008 que yo me ordene
diácono junto con mis compañeros de clase, el padre, Ademar (Brasil), el P. Cristóbal (Colombia), P. Antonio (México), y el P. Claudio
(que decidió después de un buen discernimiento permanecer en Brasil y servir a la Iglesia como sacerdote diocesano). En esta ocasión
Rezo por el Obispo que nos ordenó como diáconos Arzobispo Silvestre Luiz escandinavo, svd y el provincial que nos recibió en la comunidad como miembros de votos perpetuos P. Michael McGuiness, svd.
El Señor ha sido tan bueno con nosotros.
Mis queridos amigos alégrense conmigo por el don de la vida que Dios nos da constantemente. Mi familia en Brasil ha recibido 2 bendiciones. En el mes de Enero, Ester, mi primera sobrina nació, y en esta semana días antes de mi cumpleaños mi segunda sobrina, Estela,
también nació. Demos gracias al Señor Dios por sus maravillas entre nosotros.

infirmity, please call the office that I may set up a date to visit those who are sick and ill. Your help in this matter is very important. During
this time of Lent I’ll do all the efforts to visit the sick and the homebound around our area. If you have a friend or a family member who is

Como es sabido la celebración de las quinceañeras es una tradición latina. Se les informa a todos los padres de familia que desean celebrar
una Misa de quinceañera en San Eugenio, que lo podrán hacer. En el próximo boletín se les dara la información de los requisitos que se
necesitan y a quien acudir.

The Church teaches about the importance of the sacrament of reconciliation, and how important is to prepare well for Easter than to come to
celebrate this sacrament with devotion and the willingness to be free of all sins. Here at St. Eugene on March 16 th, at 7:00 p.m., the sacrament of reconciliation will be offered, and priests will be available in our community to help us to be reconciled with God.
