hrist is Risen, Alleluia – Praise the Lord”
– this is our Easter greeting and the good news at the
heart of our faith as Christians: Christ who died on the
Cross on Good Friday is raised from the dead and lives
forever in the new and glorious life of Easter resurrection. We rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus. His Easter
greeting is: “Peace – Shalom”, the fullness of God’s blessings. St. Paul (in the Reading from Colossians 3:1-4) tells
us that through Baptism we have died with Christ and risen
to a new Easter life and says: “seek what is above, where
Christ is seated at the right hand of God…your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears,
then you too will appear with him in glory.” Today and
throughout the fifty days of Easter, let us open our hearts
and lives to Jesus and his love and peace.
• We wish you a Happy Easter filled with Easter peace
and new life in Jesus risen from the dead.
• On this Easter Sunday the 2:30 PM Spanish Mass will
be at 3:00 PM and there will be no 5:30 PM Sunday evening Mass.
• Your Easter gift to God in the Easter collection at Offertory is a wonderful way of showing your love for Jesus
and very important so the parish can pay its bills. Your
generous giving makes possible all the religious, educational and service programs of our parish. Many thanks
and God’s blessings on you and your family.
• This Easter we are blessed with new life in our parish
in all who were baptized at the Easter Vigil, received the
Holy Spirit in Confirmation and received their First Holy
Communion. Many thanks to all the members of the RCIA,
the Teen RCIA and the Spanish RICA and to the Sponsors
and Godparents who have welcomed and supported these
adults and teens on their journey of faith to Christ in the
Church.

risto ha resucitado,
Aleluya – Alaben al Señor”
– este es nuestro saludo de Pascua y la Buena Nueva al
corazón de la fe de los cristianos: Cristo, que murió en la
cruz el Viernes Santo ha resucitado de la muerte y vive
para siempre en la nueva y gloriosa vida de la Pascua de
resurrección. Nos regocijamos en la resurrección de Jesús.
Su saludo de Pascua es: “Paz – Shalom”, la plenitud de las
bendiciones de Dios. San Pablo (en la Lectura a los Colosenses 3:1-4) nos dice que por el Bautismo hemos
muerto con Cristo y resucitado a una nueva vida Pascual y
dice: “busquen los bienes de arriba, donde esta sentado
Cristo, a la derecha de Dios… su vida esta escondida con
Cristo en Dios. Cuando Cristo, vida de ustedes se manifieste , entonces también ustedes se manifestarán con Él en
Gloria”. Hoy y a lo largo de los cincuenta días de Pascua,
abramos nuestros corazones y nuestras vidas a Jesús y a
su amor y su paz.
• Les deseamos a todos unas felices pascuas llenas de
paz y vida nueva en Jesús resucitado de entre los muertos.
El Domingo de Resurrección la Misa de 2:30 PM se celebrará a las 3:00 PM y no habrá Misa de 5:30 PM.
• Su generoso regalo en la colecta de Pascua en el
Oferotorio de la Misa, es sumamente importante, para que
nuestra Parroquia cumpla con todos sus compromisos. De
esta manera se hacen posibles todos nuestros programas
religiosos, de educación y de servicio. Muchas gracias por
su generosidad y que Dios les llene de bendiciones a usted
y su familia.
• En esta Pasuca estamos llenos de bendiciones celebrando la nueva vida en Cristo en todos los hermanos que
han sido bautizados en la Vigilia Pascual, y que recibieron
el Espíritu Santo en la Confirmación y a Jesús en su
Primera Comunión. Muchas gracias a todos los miembros
del equipo de RCIA, del grupo de Jóvenes de RCIA, del
grupo de Español de RICA y a todos los padrinos y responsables de la preparación de estos adultos y jóvenes en su
jornada de fe hacia Cristo para formar parte de su Iglesia.
En esta semana de Pascua solamente habrá una Misa por
la mañana a las 8:30 AM.
• En esta semana de Pascua el estacionameinto de la
Iglesia sera sellado para dar mantenimiento al asfalto y así
evitar que se dañe. Este proceso durará tres días. Les
pedimos que sigan los señalalmientos sobre cambios en
los lugares de estacionamiento y entradas y salidas, por
su seguridad y la de todos.

• This Easter week the Church parking lot needs to be
sealed so as to maintain the asphalt surface. This work
will be spread over three days. The entrance and exit
gates may be changed from day to day. In driving and
parking on the Church parking lot, please observe all the
signs for your own safety and the good of all.
• Habrá una junta para todos los Ministros de Eucaristía
de los enfermos el jueves 23 de abril a las 7:30 PM en el
salón del Sagrado Corazón (cerca de la oficina parroquial).
Se invita a todos a atender a esta junta.

Nuestra parroquia se encuentra con un reto financiero,
cuando se trata de pagar el prestamo de la Construcion nueva de la Iglesia y tambien el salon nuevo y
oficinas. El 31 de enero, 2009, el balance del
prestamo era $12, 446, 319. El interes para cada mes
se aproxima a $100,000. Los feligreses generosos
que dan con fe dan un por medio de $ 30,000. mensuales. (la cual es mas baja que el año pasado que daban $ 60,000). Le pedimos a cada familia y feligres
que se comprometieron a dar a la Campaña Capital en
el 2003 o el 2005 de tratar lo mejor que puedan para
cumplir. Su generoso y fiel donativo es de gran bendicion para nosotros y para nuestras generaciones.

• There will be a meeting for all Eucharistic Ministers to
the Sick on Thursday, April 23rd at 7:30 PM in the Sacred
Heart Room (near the Parish Offices). All Eucharistic
Ministers to the Sick are asked to attend.
• Our parish faces a great challenge in repaying the
loans for the construction of our new Church, Parish Hall
and Offices. On January 31st, 2009, the loan balance was
$12,446,319. The interest payment each month is close
to $100,000. Faithful and generous parishioners are giving an average of $30,000 each month (down from an
average of $60,000 a year ago). We ask each family or
parishioner who made a pledge to our Capital Campaign
in 2003 or 2005 to do your best to fulfill your
pledge. Your generous and faithful giving are a great
blessing for our parish now and for many years in the future.

SAFEGUARD THE CHILDREN The Archdiocese has mandated that all adults who work with or around children in
any capacity must know how to recognized and prevent child sexual abuse by attending a Virtus awareness session—
“Protecting God’s children” which is a cornerstone in effort to teach adults how to recognize behaviors of potential child
molester and what can be done to protect our children. This Training will be offered in St. Mary’s Conference Center on
April 28, 2009 in English from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. attendance to complete session is required. This workshop is required
for all Teachers, assistants, volunteers, Leaders from any Ministry in Church including Prayer Groups. At the same time
any adults in the Parish that are interested to attend are welcome to do so. Please call the R. E. Office to RSVP. Telephone 661-273-5554
IMPORTANT DATES INFORMATION
1. Confirmation Ceremony for students in their Level II and ready to be confirmed will be May 9, 2009 at 10:00 in
the morning students need to be no later than 9:30 a.m. with their sponsor (only one allow) please refer to information letter for dress code.
2. Confirmation rehearsal date: May 7 at 6:00 p.m. in Church with their sponsor as well.
3. If students need to do service hours they must do them before their Confirmation date.
4. Any pending paper work like: Saint’s report, sponsor form, certificates of any kind, etc. need to be turned to the
office ASAP
5. Permission slips for Human Sexuality and Teaching Touching class have been sent out to all parents by mail.
The class will take place on April 20, from 6 to 8:30 P.M. and all students are required to attend unless parents
op-out. This programs is been implemented in order to protect our children and youth. If for any reason parents
op-out or student had already taken it from a private catholic school the information needs to be in writing in the
form that was mailed to parents. Teachers will collect all the forms before class starts on the 20th of April.
6. The Confirmation Level II Rite of Acceptance will be re-schedule to April 26 at 5:300 Mass instead of the previous week that stated in the calendar please take note and notify your sponsors.

1. La Ceremonia de Confirmación para los estudiantes de Nivel II será el 16 de Mayo del 2009 a las 10:00 A.M.

la casa de los estudiantes por correo. La clase será el 20 de Abril de las 6 to 8:30 P.M. la clase es requerida para
todos los estudiantes a menos que los papas declinen la participación. Este programa es implementado para proteger a los niños y Jovenes y puedan reconocer cualquier peligro de transpaso de limites por parte de un adulto.
Si los estudiantes ya lo han tomado en cualquier escuela catolica deben anotar la información el la forma de permiso y no necesitan volverlo a tomar. Los maestros colectaran la forma antes de que empiece la clase.
6. El Rito de Aceptación para los estudiantes de Confirmación del Nivel II ha sido cambiado para el 26 de Abril en
la Misa de las 5:30 P.M. por favor tomen nota ya que esta fecha es diferente a la que fue dada al principiop del
año en su calendario. El padrino o los papas deben atender.

Applications are now available for the 2009-2010 school year.
There is a $15.00 application fee at the time you pick up your
application. When applying for St. Mary’s Kindergarten Program, children must be 5 years old by December 1, 2009 and are
encouraged to be 5 years of age by September 1, 2009. You may
pick up the application at the school office between the hours of
8:30 am and 2:30 pm.

In 1933, God gave Sister Faustina this prayer to say on ordinary rosary beads:
“First say one ‘Our Father’, ‘Hail Mary’, and ‘I believe’. Then
on the large beads say the following words: ‘Eternal Father, I
offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly
beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins
and those of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the
whole world.’ In conclusion your to say these words three times:
‘Holy god, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy
on us and on he whole world’.
‘Jesus said to Sister Faustina: “Say
unceasingly this chaplet that I have
taught you. Anyone who says it will
receive great Mercy a the hour of
death. Priests will recommend it to
sinners as the last hope. Even the
most hardened sinner, if he recites
this Chaplet even once, will receive
grace from My infinite Mercy. I
want the whole world to know My
Infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust
in My Mercy….’
Our next Healing Mass will be April 21st and our presider will
be Fr. Bob Garon. This will be a very special mass – Healing
of Memories. Please spread the word it will be at St. Mary’s
at 7PM.
