Though‬‬ ‫‪once thought to be a rare disease, it seems that the prevalence is much higher‬‬ ‫‪than assumed.‬‬ ‫‪Early detection as well as prompt and appropriate treatments are the keys for‬‬ ‫‪high-quality management of those cases. Prevention of tooth loss by proper‬‬ ‫‪periodontal therapy is crucial in this young population.‬‬ ‫קורות חיים של המרצים‬ Dr. Adrian Becker Dr. Adrian Becker is Clinical Associate Professor emeritus in the Department of Orthodontics of the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, in Jerusalem, Israel. The results of her clinical and research activities have been published in over 70 articles in international refereed journals and in 6 chapters in books. She presents 1-day and 2-day courses internationally together with Prof. Adrian Becker on: the various aspects related to impacted teeth and the delivery of orthodontic treatment to special needs children. ‫פרופ' איילה שטבהולץ‬ ‫ בפקולטה לרפואת שיניים של האוניברסיטה העברית והדסה מיסודה‬1980 ‫סיימה את לימודי רפואת השיניים בשנת‬ ‫ סיימה את תכנית ההתמחות בפריודונטיה באותו מוסד ונהלה את קורס‬1985-‫ ב‬.‫של אחוות אלפא אומגה בירושלים‬ ‫ שימשה כפרופסור אורח במחלקה‬1990-91 ‫ בשנים‬.‫ שנה‬15 ‫השינניות בפקולטה לרפואת שיניים בירושלים במשך‬ ‫ חברת צוות המחלקה לפריודונטיה בפקולטה‬2000 ‫ משנת‬.‫ שבקליפורניה‬Loma Linda ‫לפריודונטיה באוניברסיטת‬ ,‫ בנוסף לעיסוקה בתחום האקדמי‬.‫לרפואת שיניים בירושלים בדרגת פרופסור חבר וחברה בועדות הפקולטה השונות‬ , 2004 ‫ כיהנה כיו"ר האיגוד הישראלי לפריודונטיה בשנת‬.‫מנהלת מרפאה פרטית לטיפולים פריודונטלים בירושלים‬ ‫ נציגת הר"ש‬,‫כחברה בוועדה המקצועית לפריודונטיה של המועצה המדעית ובוועדת הבחינות להתמחות בפריודונטיה‬ .‫בועדת הקובלנות של משרד הבריאות וכן משמשת כדירקטור במועצת המנהלים של אחוות אלפה אומגה העולמית‬ .‫פרסמה מאמרים רבים בספרות המקצועית הבינלאומית ומרצה בכינוסים ארציים ובינלאומיים‬ Dr. Liran Levin Dr. Liran Levin received his DMD degree with distinction at the Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine, Tel Aviv University and completed his Post Graduate Periodontology Program at the Department of Periodontology, School of Graduate Dentistry, Rambam Health Care Campus. He also received his Periodontology Specialist Certificate from the European Federation of Periodontology. Dr. Levin is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine - Technion IIT, and a senior physician at the Department of Periodontology, Rambam Health Care Campus, Haifa, Israel. Dr. Liran Levin has published of more than 100 articles and book chapters in the international professional literature and is involved in research mainly in periodontology, dental implants and dental trauma. Dr. Levin serves as an Editorial Board Member and a manuscript reviewer for some of the leading international professional Journals in the fields of periodontology, dental implants, dental trauma and general dentistry. Dr. Levin was appointed as a member of the Ethics in Dental Research Committee of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). He is an active member at the International Association for Dental Research, Israeli Dental Association, Israeli Periodontal and Osseointegration Society and the European Federation of Periodontology.
