We were honored to be selected the 2014-2015 Chapter M Couple of the Year. Enjoyed all the friendly people we met visiting GWRRA Chapters throughout the beautiful state of Tennessee. We have enjoyed the beautiful scenery as we traveled from North to South and East to West using as many back roads and small highways that time permitted. Thanks to all Chapter M members for their support and encouragement throughout the year. Thank you for helping us capture many plaques and visiting other chapters. What a great learning experience we had at Horizons. "If school would have been that much fun I'd gotten better grades". We were really impressed with the leadership workshops. That is what it is all about " FRENDS-FUN-SAFTY-KNOWLEDGE". Both of us are excited about the District Couple of the Year competition that faces us in Fall Creek Falls on Valentines Day. Hope to see many of you there to cheer us on. We have had so much fun this year and it's all because of the members of Chapter M. We could not have done it with out you. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU 2014-2015 Couple of the Year Bill & Fran TN-M: Let’s get a table together for the COY Sweetheart Dance and support our fabulous COY Couple and cheer them on in their bid for District COY! GWRRA Region N—Chapter M GWRRA Region N—Chapter M Membership Enhancement__________________________Sam and Skip McQueeney Do you think we have fun meetings, if so, GWRRA wants to know, let’s talk about this and see if we can come up with a plan! Please note the prizes—do they have this group nailed or what:) Hello MECs across GWRRA land, Team GWRRA would like to find the most FUN Chapter in all of GWRRA. Once we find that Chapter we want to show it off to everybody else so they can see how much FUN a regular monthly Chapter gathering can be by posting a video of them on the GWRRA Web Page. Ray Garris, GWRRA Director, has given up three fantastic prizes: First Place FUN Chapter will get a $100.00 Gift Certificate to Dairy Queen Second & Third Place will get a $50 Dairy Queen Gift Certificate each All you have to do to be considered for this contest is send us a video of one of your most FUN regular monthly gatherings by March 20, 2015. This should give everybody plenty of time to plan, organize, make the video and submit it for judging. The rules are: You must have FUN / Video should be inclusive of the entire regular monthly gathering / Videos should be sent to me, Bob Greer, Director of Membership Enhancement: So in this vein—Be Prepared to Have Fun! Starting at our January Gathering we are going to start our new feature—The Monthly Game Challenge! GWRRA Region N—Chapter M News from the Road We decided, since the weather was finally turning nice we would head to Lake Placid to an auction this morning. It was an Estate Auction, it was very different. Lots and lots of items that were not even worth looking at or purchasing, I mean this was pure junk and there was a whole house full of it. We looked it over and decided to leave and go have breakfast at a little restaurant there. It is called Interstate Boulevard Cafe, and the food was excellent. After that we headed back to the house, and made one stop before coming back to Sebring. Robert likes boiled peanuts, and there is only one road side stand he can get them at, so we stopped and got him a little bag of them. Me, I cannot stand them. So back to the house and get some things done before Christmas. Tomorrow, we will heading up to Auburndale at a Flea market that we like to go to. Their vegetables seem to be fresher, and have a better taste to them. It is about 60 miles up there, and just a couple of hours, to get there. I just might find some more Christmas items, and decorations that I cannot live without, even though we have plenty. Also have been making a lot of Christmas Candies for some of the neighbors that are elderly and cannot get out and shop like they would like, so they each get a pretty good size platter from us, which we know they enjoy. To them, it is their Merry Christmas. Signing off for now, Bob and Marty Random Thoughts Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind-of tired. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day. GWRRA Region N—Chapter M Newsletter Editor________________________________________Sam McQueeney I am looking for pictures you have taken on your rides around the area and beyond, please indicate where the picture was taken and who is in it. I’d also like to start a feature using pictures of chapter members when they were younger to see if we can identify them now. If you have your marriage photo that would be great also! If you bring your photo to a meeting I can take them home and scan them in and put them in the newsletter, I promise to take care of your photos and return them in the condition I received them, I know how precious they are.
