tercera del Evangelio de san Marcos nos
aseguran que Dios no creo la muerte, ni quiere que
suframos de ninguna enfermedad.
Fue par la envidia del diablo que

nos dice el Sabia. Y lo que san
Marcos nos cuenta sobre la

muestran claramente que Jesús
viene de Dios. Como Hijo de Dios, Jesús no quiere que
nadie sufra enfermedad ni muerte. Pero en el contexto de
tanto poder, la segunda lectura, de la segunda carta de san
Pablo a los corintios, nos presenta un fuerte contraste.
Jesús, que puede levantar a los muertos a una nueva vida,
"siendo rico se hizo pobre par ustedes" (2 Corintios 8:9).
Así pues, la nueva vida que recibimos como regalo de
Cristo exige una respuesta: nuestra caridad.

Una vez es más es tiempo de extenderles
nuestros agradecimientos a nuestros antepasados que dedicaron sus vidas y su honor para que fuese posible que un pueblo
libre pudiera gobernarse, que pudieran
gozar de derechos que son inherentes a la condición humana, derechos como la vida, libertad y el derecho a desear
una vida mejor. El camino que hemos recorrido como nación en estos últimos 239 años desde que declaráramos
nuestra independencia el 4 de Julio de 1776, ha estado
lleno de muchos obstáculos. Sin embargo, hemos perseverado en el principio de que somos una sola nación ante los
ojos de Dios inspirada en el principio de justicia y libertad
para todos. Estos tantos obstáculos nos han servido para
comprobarnos una vez más que somos un pueblo justo y
pacifico, y nuestros éxitos, para recordarnos nuestro esfuerzo y lucha por mantener que un gobierno del pueblo, por el
pueblo y para el pueblo no zozobrará jamás.

los EE.UU. es una imagen tallada a mano encantadora de
Nuestra Señora de Fátima dado a nuestro país por el
Obispo de Fátima en 1967, la estatua fue bendecida por
el Papa Pablo VI en su visita a Fátima en 1967 y, posteriormente, coronada por Cardenal O'Boyle en la Basílica
Nacional en Washington, DC, en 1971.The Estatua viaja por
América bajo el patrocinio del Apostolado Mundial de Fátima,

ANNUAL APPEAL 2015
Each year our Archbishop asks us to join in his efforts to provide programs and ministries to the people
of this Archdiocese. These programs include outreach to the homeless, aid for the very poor, ministries to youth, senior citizens, the disabled, the sick and others. One
parish alone cannot do this; it takes a concerted effort on all our parts
to do Christ’s work in the world. Our parish of Mission Dolores has
been assessed the amount of $25,700. Any money raised over this
amount will remain in the parish and can be used for our own needs.
Let’s all agree to be good sharers of the benefits God has given us;
whether we ourselves have much money or very little, the Scriptures
tell us that God loves a cheerful giver. We can be assured that God
will bless our desire and effort to help others. Please read the brochures provided, and consider what you can do.

APELACIÓN ANUAL DEL ARZOBISPO 2015
Cada año nuestro Arzobispo solicita que nos unamos a su esfuerzo para proveer programas y ministerios a las personas de
la Arquidiócesis. Estos programas ayudan al pobre, a aquel sin
techo, al anciano, al minusválido, al enfermo y a otros, además
de ofrecer ministerios para al juventud. Una sola parroquia no
puede con todo, debe ser una coordinación y esfuerzo de todos
nosotros para cumplir con el trabajo de Cristo en el mundo. A
nuestra parroquia Misión Dolores se le ha asignado la cantidad
de $25,700; los fondos adicionales que se recauden después de
cumplir con esa cantidad se quedará en la parroquia y pueden
ser usados para las necesidades de la misma. Compartamos los
beneficios que Dios nos ha dado, sea que nosotros tengamos
poco ó mucho dinero, las Escrituras nos dicen que Dios ama al

We of Mission Dolores Basilica Parish, as part of the Catholic
Church in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, pledge ourselves to be
a light shining in the darkness through the love that we share in the
name of Christ, and through the power and guidance of the Holy
Spirit. We pledge to celebrate the rich ethnic and cultural diversity of
our parish community, to grow spiritually by giving loving service
to those in need, to build community through liturgy, hospitality and
ecumenism, as well as through social and cultural events, and to
promote social justice in our neighborhood and city. We encourage
the members of Mission Dolores to enrich themselves by participating in the liturgies, devotions and other activities of the parish, by
sharing their faith with others, and by living their daily lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
