How to get accommodation The Bern University of Applied Sciences is no campus university and therefore has no accommodation to offer. But rooms in the student lodging house in Bern are reserved for our incoming students. We strongly advise you to apply for them, because this is one of the cheapest and most convenient options for living in Bern. Furthermore these rooms are fully furnished while most of the rooms you will find on the internet have no furniture. The Application is your own responsibility. Send an E-Mail to [email protected] and write that you registered for one of these rooms student lodging houses The association Verein Berner Studentenlogierhaus (VBSL) is a non-profit organization which offers furnished rooms in three student lodging houses in Bern as well as a couple of unfurnished apartments. VBSL is one of the best and cheapest offers for lodging in Bern. All three houses can easily be reached by public transportation and are reasonably near our University. ! It can be difficult to find rooms for reasonable prizes, so we advise you to start searching for a room as soon as possible. This is especially important when applying for a room in the student lodging houses. • Public Transportation in Bern is very good, so it is no problem if your room is not in the same neighborhood as the University.
