December 3, 2014 Junior Varsity girls’ basketball team beat Delton-Kellogg by a score of 25-17
Tuesday night, December 2.
 Allegan Girls’ basketball won an exciting game where Leslie Scane made a 3
pointer to win the game 37-34. Karlie Wells was leading scorer with 13 points.
 3 on 3 basketball tournament at lunch in the small gym on Tuesdays and
Thursdays. Bring a group of 3 players and play to 3.
 The 1st Annual Allegan Ugly Sweater 5k is coming up on December 6th at 4 P.M.
Get your ugly sweater and come join the fun! Sign up to run or volunteer. For

 Bittersweet Ski/Snowboard-join the Allegan Independent Ski Club for 2014-2015
ski season. The club card is $15.00 for both student and adult. This card gets you
discounted ski lift and rental rates. Please make checks payable to Bittersweet Ski
Resort. You may pick up your application forms from the main office or go to
Alleganps.org web page parent links. Drop off your signed paid application to
Vanessa Sagodic/Allegan Independent Sponsor at L.E. White Middle School.
 Timber Ridge Ski Club 2014-15 pay-as-you-go student and adult information and

 The APS Fieldhouse, behind the middle school, is now open to the community for
walkers, joggers, during the following hours: 6:00-7:30 A.M. and 5:30-7:30 P.M.
(Monday-Friday).
 Christian MacCartny’s original composition, Grass and Goodwins Mvt.1, has been
chosen for performance in the 2015 Honors Composition Concert! The selection
process was very difficult due to the large number of entries and he is to be

 Some of you have been pawing at Mrs. Sparks to find out the title of the spring
play….well, royalties have been procured so she is able to finally announce that
the spring play will be none other than Dr. Seuss’s “Cat in the Hat”. Auditions
will be sometime in late January and she will notify via the school announcements
when scripts are available for perusal. Meanwhile, you can brush-up by picking up
the actual book and giving it a read-thru!
 The Allegan Tiger Tales Committee is proud to announce its seventeenth Annual
Tiger Tales Literary Competition. Students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to
submit entries in the following categories: short story, poetry, formal essay,
personal narrative, and cover design. The contest opens Monday, November 3,
2014; it closes Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Students should see their English teachers
for additional information.
 Father’s Conference for all male role models of children. December 6, 2014, 9:00
a.m.-4:00 p.m. at Central Wesleyan Church at 446 W 40th St., Holland, MI.
$20/person (some scholarships available), or $100 for 7 person group. Lunch is

 This year’s Student Section is going to be Allegan’s best, but we need your voice!
Every student at AHS can be part of the Tiger Den. Attend this week’s practices in
the main gym at 11:45 Wed., Thurs., and Fri., and get ready for the Basketball
Season Opener on Dec. 9!
 Cell Phones- the media center is collecting cell phones. Please bring in your
unused cell phones to the media center. Collection is on-going, so bring them in
anytime.
 Community Service at the First Congregational Church in Allegan on Thursdays.

 Class rings from Jostens will be delivered during lunch in room #904 on Tuesday,
December 16th.
 Attention Seniors – Vote during lunch on December 2 and 3rd outside the
cafeteria for your senior song, flowers and model announcements for your
graduation.
 Sophomores: You will be visiting the Tech Center, Wednesday, 12/3. Last names
A-H will visit in the morning (report to 1st hour and you will be called out by PA
announcement) and last names I-Z will visit in the afternoon (report to the front
lobby after lunch-do not go to 4th hour; you will return during 5th hour).
