(They) didn’t really believe they’ll get to this moment when Dudu will hold an IDF draft order in his hand. Twenty six year old Dudu has cerebral palsy, grounded to a wheelchair, paralyzed in all parts of his body and struggles to speak, but he’s a talented musician. From an early age he had one dream: being like everyone else, to feel like he belongs, to wear the green uniform and pay his dues. Be a soldier. For eight years he’s been struggling the army to enlist him voluntarily. Countless petitions to anyone who could help, but the army objected because of the difficulty to make a base accessible for him. Last night it happened, the Gaza division commander, along with the sector commanders, arrived at Dudu’s home in order to deliver the draft order to him.
